The Cheonggyecheon stream slap bang in the centre of downtown Seoul is a fantastic urban ecological restoration project, completed in 2005. Since then the local economy, public health and the natural environment have all measurably benefited 🏙️🐟🪳🌱🦆🏙️
Sad news. Hugely underrated slide guitarist and songwriter. Britain’s answer to Ry Cooder. And what about that voice 😢 bbc.co.uk/news/live/c0q5g3v0…
Just 5 mins from home, but it’s been years since I last fished the Severn and caught a barbel. I’d forgotten the immense power and speed of these fish, even though they were just small ones tonight up to about 5 or 6lb
I’ve never known the river this low and for so long. Lentic habitats are developing. This follows the biggest flood ever recorded in October 2024. I don’t know how the wonderful populations of trout and grayling can survive these conditions 😥 facebook.com/share/16S96DufT…
I think we went to the only place in the UK that didn’t have a heatwave this weekend. Blaenau Ffestiniog was cold, wet and windy. Perfect weather for fishing the mountain llyns and many good fish were caught #fishinginwales #flyfishing #wildtrout
It’s hard to believe that so soon after one of the wettest years on record, the UK is now staring into the face of drought. The weather over the next 2-3 weeks will determine how this plays out and we need to act now on important lessons learned in 2022

Beautiful and slightly eerie on the river tonight as the mist descended, everything went quiet and the fish stopped rising, just before darkness #dryflies #wildtrout #flyfishing #shropshirehills
Not the biggest, but one of the best conditioned and difficult to catch trout of the year from this little river. Good hatch of medium olives, swarms of black flies and a few large brook duns had the fish in feeding mode this afternoon #shropshirehills @flyfishing #wildtrout
Back on home water with dry flies and jet lag, straight back from LAX 😎🎣 #shropshirehills #flyfishing #dryflyaddict
The #wildtrout season has started on the #Shropshirehills rivers 🎉🎣
A bright, crisp and cold morning, and a lovely drive to the upper #riversevern. I expected the fishing to be tough early on and I wasn’t wrong, but had very good numbers of #grayling and six out of season trout in the afternoon with the sun on my face all day #flyfishing
In these turbulent times, you’ve gotta keep your fin up 🎣🥶#grayling #fishinginwales
The upper Severn was still high and raging through today after the storm, but after over a month of no fishing I just had to get out and give it a go. A lot of walking and prospecting the few fishable swims, I found a quite few #grayling in the seams and margins
Trying to persuade Severn Trent to reconsider their options here on my beloved home river. Save the Onny - Stop the Pipe - Sign the Petition! chng.it/F4frbdSwJx via @UKChange

The record flood on the night of 16/27th October has left its mark on this river! The river’s had a major geomorphological reset. Larger grayling were hard to find today, but there were also loads of juvenile grayling, which all bodes well for the future #flyfishing #grayling
Managed to squeeze the last drops out of the trout season this weekend and quite a few too with 64 fish on both dries and nymphs. No monsters, but plenty in the 12-16” range, which is good for these local streams. #flyfishing #wildtrout #shropshirehills
Everyone in our neck of the woods has got a Robert Plant story, but this is the best one yet! youtu.be/5WE8xJetHGU?si=Cf0_…
