I don’t think I would get rid of McInnes at this point. He needs a full season for me, and now at very least there is absolutely no reason to not win trophies. No excuses about European football impacting team selections, fitness or moving games to a Sunday. Mainly Saturday football while Hearts and Celtic do play Sunday’s could be massively helpful. Look how beneficial that was for Hearts last season from a consistency point of view. Full weeks between games which should help with injuries and allows us to see a settled team most weeks. Plenty of time for training (albeit it didn’t do us any favours having that week off between the game this week). No excuses to not have a strong season domestically now - it has to be the only positive aspect of going out of Europe. We all said domestic football was the priority, so all the pressure is on McInnes to deliver now but I wouldn’t be sacking him, as controversial as that might be to some people. Lose those two upcoming Old Firm’s though and I don’t think he survives that given the understandable backlash that’ll bring.
