After 25 years of teaching I’ve realized that my favorite thing to say, when a student walks in late, is this:
“I’m glad you’re here.”
I highly recommend listening to the latest @BillSimmons podcast. In particular starting at 1:23:27 where Sam Koppleman breaks down the Mark Walters funny money history and other owners’ business shadiness. Fantastic listen. #MLB #NBA

“bacon” seasoning sauce for tofu or tempeh: toasted sesame oil, maple syrup, soy sauce, a drop of liquid smoke and two twists of black pepper.
put the sauce in a small bowl and mix. then spoon over tofu/tempeh as it’s frying.
One of my favorite baseball pod episodes every year.

Always a fun discovery when a former student finds a way to publish their writing in spaces their teacher created for them long, long ago.
