just finished reading @immad's annual letter (okay, so I'm a little late). small suggestion: acquire Wave Accounting or similar and integrate into Mercury. you already do so much of the work. :)

fyi, do not attempt to park in parking garage at #georgia cyber center #gcc in #augusta, it's completely full and bumper to bumper all the way up and down but gates are still allowing more people in 🤯🤯🤯😯😭

Replying to @GACyberCenter
@GACyberCenter also, everyone is stuck paying to get out (for the parking we haven't gotten, please open the exit gates so people can get out more quickly)

ugh, I like @AAA services when I'm broken down on the road but when you move between regional branches it is a #pain in the butt. and this is severely compounded by AAA's decision to forcefully redirect visitors to where AAA thinks they currently are! 😡😭

She is demoing vectors in @ApacheSolr using the Chorus project. Great demo of the power of vectors to solve previously unsolvable search problems. github.com/querqy/chorus

bought a combo package (#flight+car) off @priceline and they reserved my car at a different #airport from the one I'm flying into. 😭 #airlines

called customer service, they are happy to cancel the car reservation for me but want to refund so little that the #airline ticket prices end up being exorbitant. 😡

i don’t normally complain about a company on social media, but when i do, it’s because @AmericanAir has: cancelled a flight of mine, delayed multiple flights of mine, gotten me to my destination 24+ hours later than originally scheduled, lost my baggage, charged me a baggage overage fee without cause, had the WORST customer service, provided zero refunds, put me in a position where i had to sleep on an airport floor… all within the last THREE WEEKS. i need a new go-to airline 😭

I rarely use #Twitter anymore but figured I'd drop by to say, #Reddit is quickly becoming the next platform I abandon. I've never been a huge user, but I have been there for 17 years (or so my profile badge says). 🤪

Part of me really hopes CEOs like @elonmusk and @Reddit's Steve Huffman keep pulling crap like this. I'm loving the #fediverse and these sort of actions give me just the push I need to jump ship.

Hey folks, despite having good performance reviews and being a big fan of the company, I was part of the layoffs at Shopify along with many others in Germany. Hard day. 😭 Any Ruby/Elixir roles in Berlin/remote Germany? I can also do React. RTs are very welcome. Help me ❤ – at Berlin, Germany

1/ Did you know @ATT doesn't allow you to cancel your internet service online? Not even in chat with a CSR? You have to call in, wade through the auto-attendant, and eventually speak with a real person.

2/ This seems kind of desperate on AT&T's part. If you want to retain customers there is another alternative: get rid of the auto-attendants. This isn't just AT&T, it's most big businesses. Maybe someone more financially literate can explain to me why it makes sense

3/ to cut corners to save a few bucks (e.g. auto-attendants) and then spend more bucks to get new customers / prevent current customers from canceling? I'm not being flippant, I really am curious! Folks who run these big businesses aren't dumb, so how does the #math work?
