We are proud to announce an important strategic partnership with Global Brain, Japan's leading independent venture capital firm.
At Techstars, we believe that great founders exist everywhere. We always make sure they have access to the capital, networks, and support they need to succeed on a global stage.
This collaboration with Global Brain brings together two organizations that have long admired each other's work and share a similar philosophy and approach to helping founders succeed.
Global Brain and Techstars will explore opportunities to collaborate on future investment vehicles and investment opportunities within the Techstars portfolio and broader ecosystem of founders, mentors and alumni.
"This partnership represents a significant step in connecting the Japanese startup community with the global stage. By combining Global Brain's leadership, capital, and CVC expertise with our global accelerator model, we are creating exciting new ways to help founders succeed." - David Cohen, Techstars Founder and CEO

My friend @PatrickEwers just published his first book and I wanted to share it. I’m pretty familiar with his work, so I feel confident saying it’s going to be a goldmine for anyone looking to save time (or just reduce mental load). Check it out here: bit.ly/stw-order-rd
Great day in the new @techstars office near Union Square in #Denver. We have 65+ employees based out of this office. Also spotted @nglaros in the house!

Replying to @Techstars
@Techstars is stopping their Boulder accelerator to focus on the larger metros. I shared my thoughts with the Colorado Sun (coloradosun.com/2024/02/23/t…) and sharing here also:
I did the Techstars NYC program in 2012 and then the Techstars Boulder program in 2019. Having done both, I can definitely attest that, as a founder, the talent and capital in NYC has a higher impact on a company at the earliest stages. Like any customer-centric company, Techstars is making the right move for founders here by focusing on these large metros, and I applaud them for making the hard, if unpopular choice!
As a participant in the Colorado startup ecosystem, I'm not excited that the accelerator is exiting, but Techstars isn't going anywhere (50+ CO employees, new office in Denver, Boulder Startup Week sponsor, participating in CO Quantum Compute initiative, etc.). And while Techstars unquestionably helped accelerate the startup ecosystem in Denver/Boulder, this ecosystem has definitely achieved escape velocity.
Personally, I live in CO, and travel regularly to spend time at Veho HQ in NYC, and am excited about building Veho and mentoring startups in both locations.
