So, my R&R is over — time to get back to work, the future of the nation is at stake and we have a lot to do!

"Lifelong Democrat" who voted for Ken Paxton and Bo French. Hahahahahahahahaha
As a life long Democrat I can’t believe how good it felt to vote straight Republican. I am sick of the Epstein class. The democrats have lost their way. Show them we mean business!

An absolutely brutal supercut for Trump.
On February 1, 2023: "If I were president, I'd be able to negotiate an end to this horrible and rapidly escalating war in 24 hours"
Today: "I think it's time for somebody else to negotiate on behalf of Ukraine"

JD Vance was just interrupted during his Hendersonville, NC rally by a protester seated directly behind him, who yelled "release the Epstein files" at him.
Vance turned to look at the protester, a person of color, then "joked" that the protester had crossed the border illegally:

The Trump admin has not approved the transfer of interceptor missiles to Ukraine that are needed to protect the country from Russian missile and drone attacks — a delay that comes as Trump embraces Russia and slams Ukraine. washingtonpost.com/politics/…
Hume: The president has been out campaigning vigorously, but I'm not sure it's making any difference and what difference it would make I'm not sure is helping.
In Texas, he is calling James Talarico “Tala-freak-o.” He is not a freak. You see him. He seems mild mannered and pleasant and not an unattractive candidate.
This cuddling up to Vladimir Putin at this moment… I don’t think that plays well. The American public can’t stand Putin.
And this fiasco with the press secretary…

If you and others take this path, and Mike Rogers wins, you will be complicit in enabling more judges, like Alito, Thomas and Cannon, more cabinet members like Hegseth, Lutnick and RFK Junior, more whitewashing of corruption and violence. You will own it.
For me, the only dignified choice is to leave the Senate race blank—an undervote representing a rejection of ideological absolutism. This makes me no less a Democrat. I refuse to be complicit in excusing or accepting extremism to beat extremism. The madness has to stop somewhere.

Hillary Clinton was right. At the final presidential debate on October 19, 2016, Clinton warned Putin would rather have “a puppet as president.”

I had to read this twice to make sure of a cringeworthy fact; this Washington Post story on the el-Sayed exchange w “Tommy“ does not even mention that Tommy is a paid right wing political operative, a staffer for Josh Hawley. Journalistic malpractice.

In a taped message, Christianne Amanpour tells viewers of her CNN International show “Amanpour” that she is leaving the network.
While she hewed fairly closely to her statement, she added this: “You know that I’ve always been fiercely independent, and I will continue to be that for you for as long as I am here and beyond. That’s especially important today as we face unprecedented pressures from all sides — political, financial, and also from the rising dangers in the field.”
A lot has been made of “declaring martial law.” I don’t see the point; the real nightmare scenario, the one that should keep you up at night, is the one where the suspension of the Constitution requires no such thing, and people carry on with their lives, going to Costco, celebrating the holidays, then waiting until January to see if we maybe still have a country, or what.
Compliance and apathy of the same grade observable by people waiting to see if that new chicken chain their cousin likes is going to open at the mall.
