The viral "Men Dey" conversation has exposed a deep, uncomfortable rift in modern relationship culture. Is the modern "guy with doings" an empowered provider, or is this the rise of predatory leverage? ⏰ 8PM WAT 📍 youtube.com/live/oBwjA8DUbx0… #TableOfMen #ManityHQ #MenDey

xitter.cf/ChinoUTD/status/210677… Figo was literally speaking about my son! Little man keeps taking about Portugal and plays solo matches between #Portugal and other countries (which Portugal must win!) And it's all because the young man chose to love CR7 - without my knowledge.
🚨 Luis Figo on Portugal reportedly considering a farewell match for Cristiano Ronaldo: “I think Portugal are beginning to understand something they should have understood before all this happened. When you call Cristiano Ronaldo, you don’t call one player. You call millions of people. I know this because I’ve travelled around the world. You go somewhere where people cannot name three Portuguese cities, but they own a Portugal number seven shirt. Why? Cristiano. There are children in countries with absolutely no connection to Portugal who grew up celebrating Portugal goals because one Portuguese boy became their hero. There are professional footballers playing today who were those children. So when Portugal play, they watch. When Portugal win, they celebrate. When Portugal lose, they suffer. Portugal inherited one of the biggest fanbases in football without signing anybody. Cristiano brought it with him. And this is why I never understood how the situation was allowed to become so ugly. You can bench Cristiano Ronaldo. You can tell him his role is changing. You can prepare a national team for life without him. Of course you can. Football continues. But with somebody this important, you manage the ending. You don’t improvise it. Cristiano has his own family, his own people, his own management, millions of supporters watching every decision. Portugal has its federation, coach, players and supporters. When something goes wrong between those two worlds, you don’t throw it into public and then act surprised when everybody chooses a side. Now I read they may bring him back for one final match. Good. But if true, don’t bring him back because you suddenly remembered he deserves applause. Bring him back because you finally understand what the goodbye means. I remember once somebody asked me what Portugal would lose when Cristiano retired. I said, ‘Goals.’ I was wrong. The goals are actually the easiest thing to replace. Eventually somebody else scores. What you cannot easily replace is the little boy in Africa who has never visited Lisbon but asks his father when Portugal play. The kid in Asia wearing number seven. The young footballer in Brazil, America, the Middle East, everywhere, who supports his own country first but somehow also wants Portugal to win. Those people came with Cristiano. Portugal should make sure they don’t leave with him. Because Cristiano retiring from Portugal should never mean Cristiano’s supporters retire from Portugal. That’s the opportunity here. Give him the farewell. Let the next generation stand beside him. Let him embrace them. Let people see him leave smiling and, afterwards, see him in the stands supporting Portugal like any Portuguese man. Then something beautiful happens. The next time Portugal play, Cristiano isn’t on the pitch. But millions of people who arrived because of him are still watching. That’s how you handle the end of an era. The greatest legacy Cristiano can leave Portugal isn’t that everybody remembers him. It’s that millions who came for Cristiano decide to stay for Portugal.”

The next generation won't be talking about who's the GOAT. They'll simply choose their own idol and celebrate them (be it Messi or C.Ronaldo). My son has chosen C.Ronaldo (obviously) and he's a proud CR7 fan; a diehard one at that. #CR7 #CristianoRonaldo #CRonaldo

This is true and good woman. And may God satisfy this desire and give you joy and peace always 🌹
I want to build a beautiful home for my husband one that feels safe, peaceful, and warm. A home he looks forward to coming back to, not because the world is perfect outside, but because he knows he can find peace, love, and comfort here.

This is typically like the story of my brother and best friend @segunsd Shdde my shows up in my life in OOU in January 2004. He has become an integral part of my existence since then. Love him loads. And I honour the great friend and brother he is to me. Respect 👑
One evening, this nigga just showed up at my house with his bags. We had just resumed 100LEVEL in Ilorin. He told me he wanted to live with me. We were mates in Suleja Academy but we weren't particularly close. I was confused about how to tell my parents. I eventually told my Dad and my Dad asked one question that evening. 'If you were in his shoes, would you not want someone to accommodate you?' 'As long as you say he is a good boy. He can come live with us.' That was how SD became a part of my family. We also lived together on campus for 2 years before being separated by Fellowship responsibilities. We have remained close ever since and navigated some of the toughest phases of life together. Many years later, when I lost my job and was depressed, he would be the instrument God used to save my life. When I got the UNICEF job and had to leave Benin for Katsina, he sent me a tidy sum for my travel and kept monitoring me till I got there. Incidentally, that was the weekend Patrick Yakowa died. It was not an easy time to be traveling in northern Nigeria. He would call me at all hours to pray with me and make sure I was okay. He was the guardian to my niece till she graduated from CU and is probably closer to my sister today than I am. I can't even begin to tell of the times Mom would call and say Sunday sent her money. So, on 23rd September of every year, I get to say thank you to him and celebrate him for being such a great brother and friend. We've come a long way but I know the Lord is leading us even farther. Death and destruction will not stop us. And it shall always be well with him. Happy birthday Sunday Daniel Dagbo. My brother from another mother.
