This is really inspiring. Im not really interested in unicorns (the planet doesn't need any billionaires) but I'd love to see some businesses like this get built in the UK. 'The goal is to make rich societies, not rich people'. Bravo! theguardian.com/lifeandstyle…

A great interview 👏👏@iRunFar irunfar.com/jasmin-paris-202…
👇a general subsidy to reduce energy demand would be a great piece of policy. Other factors like the state of the skills base and the structure of the energy market (esp marginal cost pricing) are also key but a general subsidy would be foundational.👏👏
Replying to @ACJSissons
We asked what if…
…Subsidies were based on overall carbon reduction, but more tech agnostic?
…We took overheating (and cooling) into account?
…We allowed the subsidy to support different purchasing models.
👇 every time the fuel duty raise is halted that's £6bn for public services just gone in a puff of diesel fumes 🤷
A profound failure of imagination, and a complete lack of understanding of what it means to be a human, in nature. We have a long way to go to address this disconnectedness. But the journey is a joyful one 🙏

If you want to set up a company it will cost you £12 at present. That's rising to £50 in May. So don't hang around. What's going on @CompaniesHouse?

You might not be interested in climate change, but if your principal role is financial stability, then climate change is interested in you.
This is truly boneheaded.
@bankofengland should show some intellectual independence here despite their guidance 🙏 ft.com/content/292e7954-19f2…
👇 great opportunity to join a growing team doing very interesting (and important, I think) work

A plea that every Manifesto has a section on 'Dull but Important ', to include:
- Tax reform
- Voting systems
- Management of utility and food markets
- Infrastructure development
- Ownership (and tax) models (esp land)
If you really want to change things, ☝️is where to look
Stupid in every way possible. Insulating Britain's houses properly is a +++ beneficial policy that pays back fast. It saves people £, improves health, helps the NHS, is an engine for jobs, and is the single quickest way to reduce UK energy demand. 🤷 theguardian.com/politics/202…

👇 the collapse of the current model of insurance, and an industry along with it, is going to be a feature of the next 5-10 years. There's the issues described here, & its also likely there will be a wholesale retreat from insuring anything to do with fossil fuel extraction🤞
Allstate CEO Wilson said: "There will be insurance deserts."
"Insurance deserts, where private-sector companies no longer will sell regular home-insurance policies, are already developing in high-risk areas." wsj.com/business/insurance-h…
