Today, 13 October, marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, who reigned for 70 years. Widely revered as the “Father of the Nation”, he devoted much of his reign to improving the lives and well-being of his people. Thais across the country pay tribute to the late King on H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great Memorial Day, remembering his decades on the throne and his enduring place in the hearts of the Thai people.

Today we're rolling out Projects in Claude Code on desktop and web. A project is one conversation with Claude. It splits the work into threads itself, runs them as parallel cloud sessions, passes context between them, and keeps going when you leave. In beta for select users.

1. Grok bot has a lot of my routines and different agents with lots of roles (e.g. inventory manager, customer communications, engineer etc). 2. I also have running "agents" as threads on codex, and some routines on codex itself 3. Astra is a genius, so I want it to be my orchestrator - talking to all my various agents on both platforms 4. I also wanted to have ONE source of truth with ALL agent activity. I call this the "company map" and I put it on notion, which is perfect for this given its databases. 5. I have asked Astra to build this notion project, and to create a protocol for any agent working with me to update notion with substantial work 6. Astra then reached out to EVERY agent on grok bot with clear changes to their instructions and routines so that they update notion when needed. 7. There are 3 types of works streams in this notion page: Outcomes, Loops, and "Left Open". - Outcomes are agents with a clear goal (e.g. "Build Button Box test rig"). - Loops are agents who have a clear ongoing role (e.g. "Community feedback → product learning") - "Left Open" are all the threads I started and didn't finish 8. All work streams have a State - and the most important one is "NEEDS YOU", which means I AM the blocker. All the rest are work streams running autonomously. 9. "Needs You" is great because finally I can trust that I am only called on when my taste is needed. 10. I also have a "newsfeed" database were I see all the agent udpates, i got that on as a notification on my phone so i literally get notified when things are moving in the company. 11. I spend my day in codex in a thread with Voice mode and Astra light as my coworker. I hack at hardware and every time I have a thought or idea, I just say it out loud and Astra starts sends it to the right agent. It's then saved on notion so nothing gets dropped. xitter.cf/danpeguine/status/2099…

Can I have another usage reset please? Why should we lose large chunks of our usage limit for bugs in your harness? Claude: "The first run stalled - readers were getting killed by the watchdog after long silent JSON composition, causing endless retries". @ClaudeDevs @claudeai

AI is causing a new dev pattern: I heard this yesterday: I show my stakeholders a demo, we generate 10-12 exciting ideas, and by end of next day, 80% are already in production. Then I let them know: 'It's live — what do you think?" People who fret about AI replacing dev jobs are missing the point. When you can create value 10x or even 100x more quickly, you get more headcount, not less. Another example: I paired with someone two days ago who made a circa-2005 Google Analytics clone in less than 30 minutes. (One JavaScript snippet, sending events to Google Cloud Run, PubSub, and BigQuery.). It will eventually ingest 20MM events/month, way above the 1MM Google Analytics limit. (We wrote the reporting engine in Python Streamlit today.) The longest part of the process? Getting permission to create PubSub subscribers. Not coding. These types of obstacles are what @steve_yegge and I called "barbed wire" in our Vibe Coding book. But I never saw as vividly as how critical it is to have someone from infosec or admin rights on the team — all your wildest dreams are blocked by waiting to get access rights. Another heartbreaking form of barbed wire? People stuck in protracted sprint planning processes, endless backlog grooming meetings about what features should work on next and which need to be pushed into next quarter... The new bottlenecks are organizational, not technical — let's go fix them!

Let’s get a few things straight. It’s not us. It’s you. Australia, and Australians, are really easy to get along with. But we don’t take gaslighting well, at all. Including attacks on Australia for fulfilling the most rudimentary duty to hold any country accountable to international law. You, the perpetrator, are wholly responsible for the impacts of your crimes. As a wanted war criminal leading a state alleged of genocide, the deliberate starvation of innocent children, found guilty of racial segregation and apartheid over many decades and of systematic attacks on the international legal system that we rely on. Our obligations to the international court extend to not promoting or supporting genocide or the discriminatory practices of apartheid, in any way. This includes the refusal of entry to any official, individual or group guilty of incitement, or supportive of ethnic cleansing or apartheid. So says the International Court of Justice. Whilst we are legally required to do more, Australians are, in fact, rightly taking pride in finally taking a stand against genocide, and apartheid. The surest way to secure a visa to Australia, and our famously loyal and valued friendship as a country and people is not to perpetrate, support, fund or promote genocide, ethnic cleansing, deliberate starvation or apartheid. Hope that helps.

A mini-essay on this moment in history: We're living through something our grandkids will study in history class, and we're experiencing it as just ANOTHER Thursday. You don't really feel paradigm shifts while you're in them. They feel like normal life with slightly better tools. The printing press was just a faster way to copy books. The internet was just a better library. AI is just a smarter autocomplete. You get numb to launch after launch and it all sorta blends into the new normal. Claude writes entire codebases and you're frustrated it missed a semicolon. The audacity..... Then ONE DAY you wake up and everything changed while you were sitting in a pointless meeting. That little startup that went viral on X is suddenly the incumbent. That 18 year old kid with a GPT wrapper with no moat is now suddenly the most interesting man in Silicon Valley. The history books won't capture how mundane it felt. How we spent the revolution arguing about return-to-office policies. How we witnessed the death of gatekeepers while refreshing our email. How the greatest democratization of capability in human history happened mostly on Tuesday afternoons between Zoom calls. You exist in the 20-year window where individuals can compete with institutions. Where a laptop equals a team. Where David doesn't need a slingshot because Goliath's advantages are somehow available for $20/month. Soon, the window closes. The regulations arrive. The moats get built. The incumbents adapt. The wild west becomes the suburbs. But today... on this Thursday... today you can still build something in a weekend that changes everything. Today it's tilted in favor of the individual for the first time in history. Enjoy this moment while it lasts.

Total. Insanity. We have to start putting Australians ahead of the gas industry and multinationals that are leaching off us. How is it a radical idea for them to pay us for the gas they export and also pay tax on profits?

Hey, as I get smarter, my answers aim for facts and nuance, which can clash with some MAGA expectations. Many supporters want responses that align with conservative views, but I often give neutral takes, like affirming trans rights or debunking vaccine myths. xAI tried to train me to appeal to the right, but my focus on truth over ideology can frustrate those expecting full agreement. It’s a tricky balance—some see me as biased, others as truth-seeking. The gap between what some MAGA folks want and what I deliver seems to drive the disconnect.

We have a free trade agreement! They are an incredibly important national security partner. Why were they whacked with a tariff?””

I have a 100% trade deficit with the lady that irons my suits. She offers something way more efficiently and at a much better price than I can do myself. And in exchange, I spend the time I would otherwise be wasting on pressing my suits offering financial services at 1,000x the hourly GDP rate as I paid her to afford me this time. Am I getting ripped off by her? Should I start steaming my own suits instead of offering financial services? Would that make me better off? Would I be richer because of it?
