Nottingham’s “face-covering ban” has a HUGE loophole.
The burka is exempt.
So you can be fined £70 - or face further prosecution - for covering your face, but certain people can still legally completely conceal their identity behind a burka.
Nottingham's Labour council leader says this is about keeping people safe.
Then apply the rules to everyone.
No loopholes. No exemptions.

In the coming days if you walk around Nottingham with a Balaclava on covering your face you will get fined £70.00.
If you walk around Nottingham with a Burka on covering your face, you will NOT get fined a penny, you won't get stopped or spoken with in any way, you'll be free to move around in public with your identity completely concealed.
But #TwoTierPolicing ISN'T a thing right?
All face coverings in public should be banned.
