A forensic scientist, who specializes in mobile phone data, confirmed that the @Google searches done by witness Jen McCabe, in the #KarenReadTrial, occurred at 6:23am and 6:24am, on 1/29/22. The defense expert, Richard Green (who works for accused murderer #KarenRead) misread a data point, for years, and there was no 2:27am search related to those terms (the browser tab was simply opened at 2:27am for an unrelated search about local sports). Green also recanted, and apologized, in open court for his mistake (which you, Dateline) did not include in your report. Also, no search was ever deleted (the cache of the phone simply overwrote the 2:27am local sports search suggestions and Green misunderstood the data point). As Mr. Wiffin -- a forensic scientist from @Cellebrite, who specializes in mobile phone data-- explained; "The 'how long to die in cold search' first appeared on the screen at 6:23:56am...at 2:27:40am, the only websites that were visible on screen were related to [local youth sports.]" "Those two searches never appeared on the screen prior to 6:23am that morning?" asked ADA Adam "Nuts and Bolts" Lally. To which, in a moment that left the courtroom silent for seconds on end, Whiffin said; "Correct." You, Dateline, failed to include this expert testimony, relayed in open court by both Ian Whiffin and Jessica Hyde, until nearly 54 minutes into the episode (thus entirely obfuscating the initial presentation of that cell phone search for viewers) and, when you did present that testimony, you did not flesh-out Mr. Whiffin or Mr. Hyde's explanation. It is very clear that Jen McCabe Googled "How long to die in cold" at 6:23 and 6:24am, at Karen Read's request, while standing at the scene of #JohnOKeefe's death. Also, a few other important points; 1) You, Dateline, missed a crucially important detail regarding the time period between 5am and 5:20am on 1/29/22 where evidence indicates Karen Read went back to Fairview Road (before driving to Jen's) in order to confirm John was dead. 2/3 The reality is Karen left John's house around 4:58am with a cracked taillight (having broken it at 12:31am when she hit John), faked bumping into John's car in the driveway to cover for the broken taillight, deleted 17 Ring videos from John's house between 1am and 4:58am, changed the ring password (forcing Michael C. and KF to pull John's garage door down with a rope because KF couldn't enter the right password), went back to the scene to confirm John was dead (after pretending to Jen and Kerry that Karen last saw John at the Waterfall), then, Karen's story had to evolve on that drive in real-time as she was told her car was seen outside Fairview around 12:30am (right before she hit John and left him on the lawn to die), and, finally, Karen saw John's body, had a mental breakdown, drove to Kerry and Jen, dropped off her own car (as she managed to stay lucid enough to know she couldn't drive the murder weapon back to the scene), and, then, everything fell apart because Karen admitted to hitting John at the scene.
