This might be the funniest commercial I've seen in a very long time. Its for the jewelry section of JC Penny's and it is priceless. They really sunk some money into it. I guess they do good sales there. I know that im buying my very special lady's ring at a better known jewelry store than JC's 🤣🤣🤣💍
What’s the problem? The REAL problem.

你说的是逻辑,他听的是情绪;
你讲理,他就打感情牌;

“We would rather be wrong faster than right more slowly. Because we see answers as strength and questions as weakness.”

In this week's edition, @davetrott underscores the importance of asking multiple "why" to get to the root cause of the problem. Better on really identifying the problem, than quickly creating a (bad) solution. And honestly GenAI is a great sparring partner davetrott.co.uk/2026/10/wron…
Replying to @JoachimSchulz @davetrott
Yes, you can ask as many successive questions as needed, including repeated "why" probes, to dig down to a problem's root cause. That's a practical strength of conversational GenAI for analysis and troubleshooting.

"Understand the topic well enough that you could explain it to a 5-year-old."
I have always loved this story, highlighted in @APompliano’s new book which I highly recommend.

Qualcuno osò rispostine educate: a crescer bene, a diventare brave persone…
Niente, scuoteva la testa.
Finché disse: Ad evadere dal carcere.
Ci guardammo stupiti.

Every single time someone posts this scene I have to bookmark it. Never has there been a more brief, impactful performance in TV history.

Planning ahead can be seen as a fair advantage, but knowing everyone else’s job, that’s an unfair advantage—and Jim Clark, 61 years ago, had both, writes @davetrott:
