In Esther chapter 4, a young Jewish woman named Esther sat in a palace that was never meant for her. She had been taken from her people, crowned queen of Persia under King Ahasuerus, and told to hide who she was. Outside those walls, her cousin Mordecai discovered a plot: Haman, the king's highest official, had secured a decree to destroy every Jew in the empire. Letters went out. Death was scheduled. And Mordecai sent word to Esther with one hard demand: go before the king and plead for her people. She answered with fear that was honest. Anyone who entered the inner court without being called could be put to death, unless the king held out his golden sceptre. She had not been summoned for thirty days. The risk was real. Then Mordecai sent back the words that still cut through every generation: "And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14). Esther asked for three days of fasting. Then she said she would go to the king, "and if I perish, I perish" (Esther 4:16). She went. The sceptre was held out. The plot was exposed. Her people were delivered. What makes her story powerful is not that she felt brave. Scripture never paints her as fearless. She trembled, counted the cost, and still stepped forward. Courage was not the absence of fear. It was obedience while fear was still in the room. How many of us have been placed in rooms we did not choose, a workplace, a family crisis, a platform, a season of influence, and stayed silent because speaking would cost us comfort? How many have hidden our faith so we would not lose favour? How many have waited for a safer moment that never comes? Esther teaches us that position without purpose is decoration. Favour without faithfulness is wasted. And silence, when God has given you a voice, can become agreement with the threat. You may not wear a crown, but you may be the one person who can speak, stand, or intercede in the place God put you. IF GOD PLACED YOU THERE, DO NOT STAY SILENT WHEN YOUR PEOPLE NEED A VOICE. Your assignment is not always comfortable. It is often costly. But the same God who held out the sceptre for Esther still opens doors for those who will walk through them in faith. βœ’ Β© Tevin Macharia

There seems to me to be an air of arrogant lunacy within the ADC camp. And this is not even politics for me, just pure intelligent observation. There is something fundamental disturbing within their rank and file. If their Presidential candidate, Alh Atiku Abubakar isn't addressing the occupant of the office he has pursued relentlessly for over 3 decades, across 7 consecutive elections, with a disdain, disregard and screaming envy that depart rather conspicuously from the stature of decorum we have historically associated with him. Then the running mate. Rotimi Amaechi has announced to the nation that he left his ailing mother in her most fragile hour because he means to harvest politics from her passing. Better a barren womb than a son who shrinks the whole of our existence to the politics of foolishness. And then this one, Bolaji. First of all, I'm sure not many remembers he was Minister of Sports, because his performance was so underwhelming that his name does not feature in our day to day conversations about past performers. History records it that, it was during his unfortunate reign as Minister of Sports, that our paralympians who have represented this nation at the olympics, winning 12 medals: 6 golds, 5 silver and 1 bronze, despite their physical constraints, excelling where able bodied athletes had faltered, were denied their agreed rewards. These glory fetching athletes who were already bodily challenged were further subjected to financial and psychological torture under the mis-leadership of Bolaji as substantive minister of Sports. Both the athletes and their coaches were made to beg, grovel, weep, starve, lose dignity to be paid what they deserve. A physically fit Bolaji denied the handicap the worth of their sweat. That is the extent of the greed of a fellow now questioning the conpetence of another. Let me be clear. I am not in the employ of the Minister of Finance, and I am no influencer who invoices every contribution to public discourse. I am a writer and public affairs analyst, and it falls to me to sanitize our information space, so that nonentities do not dominate the firmament with falsehood. Now to his assertion: Is Taiwo Oyedele qualified to be Minister of Finance? He cited Pa Olu Falae as his standard for the qualifications a Minister of Finance must hold... I don't know how old Bolaji was in 1967 and I am not sure of his relationship with history books, but our finest Minister of Finance in history is Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who managed the economy succinctly in the period of extreme crisis and who afforded the nation a quick and logical end to bloodshed without lifting a barrel, and all that while still keeping the nation's economic buoyancy. Yet, Awolowo was primarily a lawyer... (I recommend my book, "Empire of Scars" to Bolaji, I spent substantial intellectual effort espousing Baba Awo's intellectual wizardry in the masterpiece). If a man who has pursued academic learning and earned qualifications in accounting, economics, taxation and related fields, with studies and programmes associated with institutions including Yaba College of Technology, Oxford Brookes University, the London School of Economics, Yale University, Harvard Kennedy School and Gordon Institute of Business Science, is still to be dismissed as unqualified to manage the nation's finances, then what precisely constitutes competence? And if more than two decades of professional experience, including service as a fiscal policy partner and Africa Tax Leader at PwC, working across tax advisory, fiscal policy, business strategy, regulatory matters and policy advocacy, do not constitute relevant preparation for the Ministry of Finance, then what does? Yet the man who wants to audit Oyedele's CV cannot explain the basics of our foreign exchange dynamics. It is the blind man who offers to teach the eagle about the sky. An illiterate lecturing a professor on research! Good Morning Severally... Shall I Begin???

I acknowledge political opposition is about using every point you can use against the government to score political point (people currently in goverment will also do it if they were in opposition). I also have a lot of personal respect for Oga Bolaji Abdullahi too (one of the ThisDay Kwara/Kogi journalism stars of the 2000s. Others: Simon Kolawole, Segun Adeniyi). But he misses the point here. Taiwo was Africa Fiscal Policy Leader at PwC. Fiscal Policy is an integral part of economic management. So, yes he has the right experience in economics. And Oga Bolaji himself was Commisioner of Education in Kwara and also Minister of Sports. We can also say his background was journalism and not education or sports management.
Bolaji Abdulahi said because Mr Taiwo Oyedele had HND in accounting before having other Degrees, it means he's not qualified to be the Minister of Finance in Nigeria.... ADC just packs irresponsible people together in one platform who have no regard for anything!

HM, thanks for the clarification, but a simple drawing, simulation or demo of the project and how it connects to the East West road would've been helpful. All talk with no clear pictorial understanding or representation of what you're explaining will only end up confusing people more.
Minister Umahi speaks on the realignment of the Lagos- Calabar coastal highway, says the project is intact, explains what he meant by the alignment of the East-West road to the project Infact, listen for learning sake
