Marvel just opened the door to an entire piece of its history that could connect Vision to the very beginning of androids in the MCU. The original Human Torch has deep roots in Marvel Comics, and bringing him into the conversation could have MASSIVE implications for what's coming next.
Imagine if this is Marvel setting the stage for Jim Hammond to finally make his live-action debut.
Are we about to see the original Human Torch enter the MCU, or was this reveal simply setting up something even bigger?

• Jarvis warns Vision that emotions can be beautiful but also rash and self-destructive, pointing to a painting of a man engulfed in flames.
• That man is Jim Hammond, the ORIGINAL Human Torch, not Johnny Storm!
• First introduced in Marvel Comics #1 (1939), Hammond was an android created by Professor Phineas Horton who burst into flames upon exposure to oxygen.
• The MCU previously teased him in Captain America: The First Avenger, and VisionQuest appears to connect his legacy to Vision's own artificial intelligence origins.
• Vision referring to Hammond as “us” could hint at a deeper connection between Marvel's earliest android and Vision himself.
And with Jim Hammond's Human Torch also teased in the series' promotional material, Marvel is bringing its comic-book history full circle!

On October 17, 2026, a cost-of-living protest in Nice spiraled out of control in the city center, with violence and looting breaking out. The Micromania game store on Avenue Jean-Médecin was smashed and looted. At the time, Pierre instinctively stood at the store entrance trying to block looters from getting in. He was shoved, kicked from behind, and hit in the face by a thrown object. The store was ultimately completely ransacked.
Later, the video spread widely in France and internationally. Pierre became a symbol of "an ordinary person resisting looting," drawing a huge wave of support. Some even launched a community token and other aid efforts for the store.
