This film — watch it all here — is a very important piece of investigative journalism.
Our yearlong investigation reveals Nigel Farage courting illicit funding as part of a plot to bring foreign money into British politics, orchestrated by his top aides and caught on hidden camera.

New from me: Young people in Britain are some of the most well-educated in the rich world, but economic stagnation means that breeds not growth but frustration. In fact, US workers who are functionally illiterate now earn roughly the same per hour as the average British worker.

Sky News reports that a 28-year-old Palestinian woman, six months pregnant and suffering severe internal bleeding, was being transported from Qaryout in the occupied West Bank to Rafidia Surgical Hospital in Nablus when Israeli soldiers stopped her ambulance at the Awarta checkpoint. Video shows Israeli forces detained the ambulance crew for more than 30 minutes, subjected the bleeding, critically ill woman to a physical search, and ordered the driver to turn off the engine, cutting power to the vehicle’s onboard medical equipment. During the forced delay, a nurse was forced to deliver the fetus stillborn inside the stranded ambulance. The woman was eventually allowed to proceed to the hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery and saved her life. The baby could not be saved.
Sky's @sparkomat reports from the West Bank on the impact of the escalating violence and the challenges of delivering urgent care under an increased Israeli military presence. 🔗trib.al/ofTAveO

Very little attention in UK media thus far to this story - low prominence, few details of injuries, who the victims are, where they were when the attacks took place, community reaction bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2x…

Critical take from Israel's Foreign Ministry on my column about sexual assaults of Palestinian men, women and children. You can read my piece here through a gift link: nytimes.com/2026/05/11/opini…
Today, the @nytimes chose to publish one of the worst blood libels ever to appear in the modern press. In an unfathomable inversion of reality, and through an endless stream of baseless lies, propagandist Nicholas Kristof turns the victim into the accused. Israel - whose citizens were the victims of the most horrific sexual crimes committed by Hamas on October 7, and whose hostages were later subjected to further sexual abuse - is portrayed as the guilty party. This publication is no coincidence. It is part of a false and well-orchestrated anti-Israel campaign aimed at placing Israel on the UN Secretary-General’s blacklist. Israel will fight these lies with the truth - and the truth will prevail.

The problem is that this guidance doesn’t match up with reality — teachers for Reception children (age 4+) use screens all day. That’s not a blight on the teachers, the system has geared toward that direction (smart screens/Youtube explainer videos/Cbeebies/BBC clips etc)
Wow! Excellent new guidance from UK govt on screen time guidance for ages 0-5. Great summary below from @newstart_2024

My colleague Narges Bajoghli provides the smartest, clearest, most informed take I’ve seen on Iran’s LEGO videos. Her 20 years of research is in there Political, ideological, generational context - all there. I couldn’t pick a quote. They’re all too good nymag.com/intelligencer/arti…
🎶 Iran-linked accounts are circulating a new LEGO-style propaganda video portraying U.S. and Israeli leaders as corrupt elites tied to the “Epstein files,” part of a broader online campaign aimed at undermining support for the war. The animation depicts President Donald Trump as an “orange pig” controlled by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, depicting the entire war as a project to “make Israel Great Again.” The chorus repeats: “Your government is run by pedophiles. They ordered you to die for Israel.”

We’ve been in Marjayoun - the mainly Christian town in south Lebanon - which has been told by Israeli military not to give sanctuary to their Muslim neighbours fleeing the surrounding villages being bombed by Israeli jets. Human rights gps call it ethnic cleansing. Israel claims it’s getting rid of Hezbollah militants endangering citizens across the border. Full report on Sky News YouTube and insta

I had to manually go through 32,000 land registry filings for this piece and have forgotten many treasured memories in favour of weird details about London attractions owned by overseas billionaires. Please make my toil worth it by giving the piece a read
Everything from Camden Market to the Admiral Duncan pub and central London Harry Potter stores are owned by shell companies in tax havens. For years, they hid the identities of their real owners. Today, @AndrewKersley pulls back the curtain. the-londoner.co.uk/we-reveal…

At the end of the 12-day war in June, the @IDFSpokesperson said the military had destroyed about 80% of Iran’s missile launchers, leaving roughly 100-150. Two weeks ago, when this war began, the estimate again was that Iran had about 100-150 launchers. Eight days into the war, after nonstop bombing, the IDF was still saying Iran had around 150 launchers. Now, on day 13 of this campaign, we are told Israel has destroyed about 75% of the launchers and that Iran still has 100-200 remaining. So what exactly is happening here? Every war starts with the same number. Halfway through the war the number is the same. And now the number is… the same. And when the next war begins - magically - we will be back to the same number again. There are only two possible explanations: either the numbers never change or the numbers were never real to begin with. What we should expect from the media is not to regurgitate figures that clearly have no basis in reality. These numbers are not indicative of success. What will be the measure of success is the realization of the objectives of the war and as long as we do not know what those are, missile launchers do not tell us much.

I spent sixteen months reporting this story. It was deep, painful, and at times unbearable. It follows how surveillance tech is rewriting Gaza in real time — and what it’s doing to the people inside it. Read in @NYMag nymag.com/intelligencer/arti…
