Hi all, I have a new result I'm excited to share. It turns out that *all existing implementations* of softmax and cross-entropy (that's JAX, PyTorch, textbooks, etc) have a subtle bug --- two bugs, actually. A simple rewrite fixes both, and eliminates "slingshots" when grokking:

3D claude splatting, better than i thought it would be
(top: blender build, bottom: 3d gaussian splatting)
the blender meme video made me think that claude should be able to bruteforce a reconstructed blender model from a lot of pictures of a thing, like 3DGS but much less dumb and less painfully generic (3DGS is already much less generic than NeRF), and it gets the colmap & 3DGS data from those pictures as well to start with.
Heres some WIP of claude trying to back out the modeling for various details.
