During the last 2 CBA eras.
Small Markets have made the championship series 8 times. Zero World Series.
Major Markets 28 times. 6 World Series.
I’m glad in 2026 Small Markets got it done- but miss all of us with the “SEE- There’s not an advantage”.
Please. Stop.
My lord there is no end in sight @Reds fans.
Phil Castellini insists he and his dad will not be selling the team. Why? "Because we haven't accomplished what we set out to accomplish. There's more work to be done. We respect and understand the importance of this franchise to this city. We respect our fans. They are incredibly baseball high IQ fans, and I think they deserve better. And I think this group of people has the capability to deliver what they deserve, and we want to continue until we do."

To recap:
Cowboys get:
George Pickens
Broderick Jones
Joey Porter Jr.
2027 4th round pick
Steelers get:
2026 3rd round pick (Drew Allar)
2027 5th round pick
2027 3rd round pick
2027 6th round pick
2027 6th round pick
2028 2nd round pick
They’re avoiding the fan base at all costs.

The Castellini family, an ownership that has produced little but serial failure for a generation, now says it will "keep pushing forward" by ... not making any changes. They call for an "audit" by their yes-man guy (Krall) who also says the organization doesn't need change.
“Let us pause for a moment as we hear from our good friends at Miller Lite.”
Laughable.
Another round: Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson was fined $13,611 for what the NFL said was his “imitation of shotgunning a beer” Sunday vs. Washington that “constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably could be construed as being in poor taste.”

My God.
When I read this, all I see is blatant disrespect to the fans and the city of Cincinnati.
STOP. GIVING. THEM. YOUR. MONEY.
You’re giving a bunch of generationally wealthy people your hard earned money and they’re unashamedly wiping their nepo asses with it.
STOP.
‘Why aren’t we the Brewers?’ How the Reds remain in limbo while other small-market clubs succeed. With @ctrent, unlocked and free to read. nytimes.com/athletic/7622943…
Another sobering read….
I'd say 3 in 5 Reds fans have no idea how bad the #Reds ownership group is or who is even inside of it. We all know Castellini's and that's who we point the finger at.
That's justified. They wear the title of majority. But there's WAY more inside of it:

If you ever needed confirmation that this team is full of losers (Outside of Sal Stewart), look no further. What a pathetic collective group of failures starting at the top. There is no end in sight with the futility of this franchise.
What happened to the Reds in 2026, and what's next?
Perspective from the clubhouse on a very disappointing season.

Teams to celebrate a division-clinching on the field* at GABP:
2010 Reds
2012 Reds
2015 Mets
2026 Dodgers
GABP is in its 24th season. There have been as many division title-clinching celebrations on the Reds' field by opposing teams as there have been division title-clinching celebrations by the ballpark's tenant.
*2007 Cubs celebrated in the visiting clubhouse after a Brewers' loss to the Padres.
Laughingstock

I would do damn near anything to be 12 years old in 1975. To be a Dad with teenage boys in 90.
Marty & Joe, Big Red Machine, Larkin and Davis. A vibe in the city.
It’s so distant it feels like reading about the American Revolution. It’s a bit deep and sad if you think on it.
This guy makes the decisions for my favorite baseball team. We are the laughingstock of baseball. What an absolute clown. @Reds

I had always wondered why Fauci seemed determined to drag the pandemic on for as long as possible. At the beginning, it was obvious why. It made him the most important man in America. It also helped damage Trump politically. And all the while, it distracted attention from the fact that the virus had come from a lab he had funded.
But why did he keep it going well into the Biden presidency?
I think we can now see the answer. He had no intention of surrendering his position as the central figure, disappearing from the front pages, or giving up the power and adulation that came with being the man everyone looked to each morning.
In the end, we got a never-ending pandemic not because of medical necessity, but because Anthony Fauci needed to feed his own narcissism.
