Gm, I saw this little kitten with her mom &siblings on the sidewalk tonight. 𓃠 her eye looks really bad and she needs to see a vet. If she needs surgery, the costs could be pretty high. 𓃠 Would anyone be willing to sponsor her and help cover his vet bills? 𓃠 I didn’t take him in because I’m already handling 3 spay cases and 2 sick cats who need medication and ongoing care. I just can’t take on another case on my own right now. hoping someone can help ᥫ᭡

🚨 NEW drop 👉 @TransientLabs 💀💎💀🤘 Dying before You die...💀 Meletē thanatou... Concepts: Meletē thanatou (Greek: μελέτη θανάτου) is an ancient philosophical concept that translates to "practice of death," "exercise of death," or "meditation on death". The Stoic concept of "dying before you die" means living with the constant, active awareness of your mortality so that you shed petty fears, ego, and wasted time to act with virtue right now. Memento Mori ("Remember You Must Die"): Ancient Stoics like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Epictetus regularly reminded themselves that life is short and fragile. Marcus Aurelius famously wrote in his private journal that you could leave life right now, which should guide every single thing you say, do, and think. Pretending You Have Already Died: Marcus Aurelius also suggested a mental shift: imagine that your life up to this exact moment is finished, and any extra time you receive is a bonus gift. This frees you from the burden of future anxiety and past mistakes. Death as an "Indifferent": Stoics classify death neither as a good thing nor an evil thing. It is a natural process that happens to everyone. What harms a person is not death itself, but the fear and negative judgments they attach to it. The Symmetry of Non Existence: Seneca and other thinkers pointed out that the time after you die is identical to the vast ocean of time before you were born, which caused you no pain or suffering. Origins and Meaning • Practice, Not Morbidity: It does not mean obsessing over dying in a gloomy way; rather, it is a daily mental and spiritual discipline (askēsis : Askēsis (or ascesis) is an ancient Greek term (ἄσκησις) meaning "exercise," "training," or "practice". Originally used for athletic or craft training, it evolved into a philosophical and spiritual practice of rigorous self discipline). •Separation of Soul and Body: Socrates argued that the true philosopher trains the soul to detach itself from the distracting desires, physical pleasures, and noise of the body so it can focus purely on truth and wisdom. Rehearsal for the End: By regularly learning to "let go" of ego and worldly attachments while alive, a person faces the final transition of physical death with calm, clarity, and without fear. Plato's Phaedo: The phrase heavily draws from Plato's dialogue Phaedo, where Socrates argues that true philosophy is a preparation for death. Disentangling Body and Soul: In this context, death is not merely a biological end, but a philosophical practice of detaching the soul from bodily passions, physical distractions, and material desires. Habituation and Training: The Greek word melétē implies ongoing practice, exercise, or cultivation like training for a craft or instrument, meaning the philosopher learns how to die to the material world throughout life to attain clarity and wisdom. Neoplatonism: Philosophers like Olympiodorus and Damascius expanded on the idea, distinguishing between physical death and a voluntary, inner death of purification. Stoicism: Closely tied to the Roman Stoic practice of memento mori (remembering that you must die), seen in texts like Marcus Aurelius's Meditations. Modern Philosophy and Culture: Thinkers such as Jan Patočka, Jacques Derrida, and Michel Foucault revisited meletē thanatou to explore ethics, responsibility, and how individuals confront unmanageable risks extending even into modern concepts like "thanatogaming" in virtual worlds.

For about five years now i've been writing haikus as part of the minting process to accompany most of my one of ones. They are final quick reflective summaries of the visual purge; a crude sum of the parts. Almost feels like a crime having them all in one place, and my oh my how've they multiplied
