The National Science and Technology Council is a government agency under Taiwan's Executive Yuan (equivalent to the cabinet) and is responsible for science and technology policy. As one of its subordinate agencies, CTSP develops and manages the Taichung, Huwei, Houli, Erlin, and Chung Hsing science parks in central Taiwan. In today's meeting, we discussed data center development and securing power within CTSP's science parks, renewable energy procurement, training AI infrastructure engineers, and collaboration with companies in the parks. Nebius, a leading European neocloud provider, disclosed that contracts secured in Q2 2026 carried an annualized contract value of more than $20 million per MW, well above its baseline assumption of $12 million for 2026. (Source: Nebius Q2 2026 disclosure) In the U.S., CoreWeave implemented an average price increase of approximately 25% across its SKUs in July and has stated that its available capacity is effectively sold out. (Source: CoreWeave Q2 2026 earnings call, August 11, 2026) Hyperscalers have moved in the same direction. AWS raised pricing for its reserved GPU capacity (EC2 Capacity Blocks for ML) by roughly 15% in January 2026 and a further 20% in July, a cumulative increase of approximately 38% for the affected instance types. (Source: AWS published pricing) These increases are not limited to the latest GPUs. CoreWeave disclosed that it has re-contracted A100s, first deployed in 2020, at favorable pricing through 2029, and Nebius noted that pricing for prior-generation GPUs rose more than 30% versus Q1. This suggests that the economic value of older GPUs may warrant reassessment. We believe these market dynamics represent a tailwind for our business.

The photo shows a server equipped with NVIDIA’s latest-generation B300 GPUs. Deployment Scale and Specifications Each GPU server is equipped with eight B300 GPUs and costs approximately JPY 80 million. A total of 635 servers, equipped with 5,080 B300 GPUs, are scheduled for deployment at this AI data centre. Based on publicly available information reviewed by Datasection, this represents one of the largest B300 deployments in Japan. The CPU, memory and storage specifications also follow NVIDIA’s reference architecture. Questions received during the site visit Q. Does Datasection own the data centre building? A. No. We lease the facility and operate under a colocation model, installing and operating our own GPU servers and related equipment. Q. Why is only one server installed in each rack at this data centre? Is this due to a technical constraint? A. In Japan, air-cooled data centres generally face a limit on the power capacity available in each data hall. For example, where the limit is approximately 2 MW, only around 143 B300 GPU servers can be installed within that power envelope. Although the racks themselves still have considerable physical space available, the facility cannot provide any additional power or cooling capacity. Accordingly, we have adopted a configuration in which one GPU server is installed in each rack. By contrast, higher-density configurations are possible in countries where more power and cooling capacity are available. In Australia, for example, we use a configuration of three B300 GPU servers per rack. Q. What are the red and blue units located above the racks? A. They are tap-off units for the busway power distribution system. They draw power from both the A and B feeds, providing each rack with a redundant power supply.
