I wish more people posted their random thoughts on here instead of making every tweet ✨valuable✨ Don't get me wrong I love the educational threads y'all are bringing but let's balance them with a little chaos. I'm here for your inner monologues & overheard convos & memes too.

I keep waking up with bad anxiety about working, and then I remember I left my healthcare field and now work from home as a software developer 👩🏽‍💻. I’m so grateful that I have supervisors that believe in me and offer challenging tasks so I keep growing!! #webdev #womenintech

I get so embarrassed when I create bugs on a feature I worked on. No matter how much testing I think I’ve made, there’s always something and I feel like I’ve failed every time 🙃. I know it’s normal, but I’m almost 6 months into this job and I’m still struggling #dev #rant #SE

How do you make sure you keep learning once you have a job as a developer? I’m reaching 2 months and although I learn something new everyday, I feel like I’m forgetting things I learned in my bootcamp :/ #dev #codingnewbie #100DaysOfCode #help

"Can you make it pop?" You've likely heard this before. But what exactly makes something "pop"? Layout? Not always. Animations? Eh, maybe. In both situations, you may need to sacrifice usability for creativity. So what makes a design pop but doesn't always hinder the UX? 🧵👇

Aaa! It’s so exciting to see my contributions being reflected on the updated version of the app I’m working on!!! My first month was a success!! And I love learning while at my job, I’m living in my dreams! #reactnative #100DaysOfCode #womenintech #newbiedev

Had a pretty frustrating week of trying to run an android emulator on my M1 Mac, and I haven’t been able to get the project to run on Xcode, only through CLI. And when it does, it takes 30 mins+ to get the metro server to build the app on the iPhone simulator 😭😭#M1 #xcode #dev

However, I have a great mentor and he assured me that this is normal and expected for my first couple of weeks :,-)

You don’t know how many hours I could’ve spent doing other things if I had just properly read the error code instead of googling keywords right away 😭. You live and you learn!
Being a software engineer requires some detective work when things go wrong🕵🏾‍♀️ HINT: the computer is probably doing exactly what you’re telling it to do but here are some more debugging tips:

My partner build Remy a cat-shelf so he can hang out by my side and look at the birds 🥺
So much has happened!! I was able to find work as a React Native software developer for a startup within one week of graduating my bootcamp course, and I’m already on my third week of living the life I had dreamt of!! I am so happy and grateful 🎊🎉🍾

Including simple animations on my React Native app make such a difference! I was working on making it more inviting and less rigid, and the Animatable library makes it so easy to make the app look friendlier and more modern #100DaysOfCode

Continuing working on two of my apps! I've been working on optimizing my LocalTrade app that focuses on tackling the food waste problem, at a local stage. And the other one is a team app called Bountifull, which is a positive-approach to nutrition tracking! #softwaredev

I can't believe tomorrow is my last day of bootcamp! Yesterday we had some alumni that found jobs less than a month after the course, some tips: - treat the job hunt like an actual job, work on it every day - reach out to people on linked in - keep learning in the meantime

Day 2/5: Whoops, forgot to post yesterday about this last week of my #codingbootcamp. We went over the actual job hunt process, including staying organized, and salary negotiation, and then we had one-on-one 45 minutes mock tech interviews with our instructor!

Last week of my immersive software engineering bootcamp! Day 1/5: Mock interviews for tech interviews. Our instructor went pretty easy on us, but I realized that I need to refresh my 'leetcode' problem solving skills. Not to mention my datastructures and algo knowledge hah
