Thank you for the Req shout out in the news! <3 I really need to work on messaging (and name, possibly) but in a nutshell it's supposed to be curl/requests/etc out of the box experience with automatic decoding/decompression/etc backed by Tesla-like pipeline design. :)
Episode 43: @mspanc explains what @ElixirMembrane is and what the project's goals are. Very cool stuff! We talk about WebRTC, speed to market, why you want to deploy it to your own infrastructure, why startups fail and more! #ElixirLang @ElixirLang thinkingelixir.com/podcast-e…

This is a great post 👏 At work we use Redis *a lot*, even if 90% of our 30+ services are Elixir. We often use it as a proper ffffast💨 data store that services populate via event-sourcing (so that we don't have to rely on Redis for long-term persistence).
You may have heard that "You do not need Redis with Elixir". That's often a loaded (and misunderstood) sentence. In our latest article, @josevalim breaks down when this is true, when it is not, and which trade-offs you may want to consider: dashbit.co/blog/you-may-not-…

Or you can implement HTTP signature Draft (tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ca…) and use @voltonez excellent plug to verify it (hex.pm/packages/plug_signatu…). We have a custom implementation - tailored for our needs - in our Elixir lib (github.com/ibanity/ibanity-e…)

What @josevalim has done with this PR is a hugely valuable resource. github.com/dashbitco/mix_phx… You get the chance to see how one of the worlds best programmers approaches an extremely common, yet complex, problem. Even better you get to see all the little mistakes he made.

Replying to @dashbit @josevalim
I use the same technique for my blog (github.com/sasa1977/erlangel…) :-) It's a nice approach which helps eliminating a complex moving part (db) from the solution. As an added bonus, I get occasional PRs from readers with minor fixes/typos (e.g. github.com/sasa1977/erlangel…)
