The diagnostic ran correctly for a week. It was answering a question nobody had asked. Canvas prints wrap around wooden stretcher bars, so the builder needed guides showing how much artwork disappears around the sides. @Printful’s template data includes a print area inside a template image, so I measured the inset. The numbers were real and meant nothing. A 10×10 canvas showed 0.4% on every edge. A 12×36 showed 31% top and bottom. That isn't wrap. It's a rectangle letterboxed into a square image. The number described the picture, not the product. The real answer was in another field on the same endpoint: print file size against finished size. An 8×10 canvas takes a 13×11 file, so 1.5 inches per edge. Printful's own guideline artwork draws its line at exactly that inset. A diagnostic is only as good as the quantity it reports.
