We conform first, then find reasons why we're right. We don't carefully weigh evidence and reach conclusions. We pick our team, then our brains do the work of making us feel smart about it.

Privacy-centric design is quite rare amid the race for market dominance in AI. Four out of five of the biggest AI players openly collect chat logs, with some at least claiming they anonymize data before using it for 'research' and 'service improvement.' One openly admits that your chat logs might be reviewed by a human, no only if your flagged for a violation. Meanwhile, tens of thousands of smaller AI companies don't even bother with proper terms of service or privacy policies, and I doubt many have even heard of GDPR, DPA, or CCPA.
