Goram and Vincent are legendary giants from Bristol folklore, said to have shaped the Avon Gorge and surrounding landscape in a rivalry over the love of Avona, the personification of the River Avon.   According to the most widespread version of the legend, both giants were tasked with draining a massive lake between Bradford-on-Avon and Bristol. Vincent, residing near Clifton, carefully carved the Avon Gorge on the southern side, while Goram, based in Henbury, dug through the northern hills.   Overheated and exhausted, Goram drank heavily and fell asleep in his stone chair, allowing Vincent to complete the task first and win Avona’s hand. Heartbroken, Goram stamped his foot in rage—creating the Giant’s Footprint in Henbury—then drowned himself in the Severn Estuary, forming the islands of Steep Holm and Flat Holm.  #OnMyDoorstep

Opensea sucks. I prefer the buggy but useable original version.
