I remember sitting at my desk last December when we launched Content Rewards, thinking I knew what we were getting into I had absolutely no idea lol In our first month, over 5,000 people earned their first dollar on the platform. Last month, almost 20,000 different people made money with us That’s still pretty insane for me to process. I know what earning money on the internet did for my life, so seeing that many people doing it through something we built means a lot to me I really believe that to build the future, you have to have lived it yourself. Making content, trying to get people to care, figuring out how to turn it into a living That’s been my life I was 14 when I got my first million subscribers on YouTube At 15, I made over $500,000 in my first month running the biggest Snapchat show network and dropped out of high school At 16, I founded my first software company and grew it to $500,000 a month in 90 days Content Rewards is something I wish I’d had when I was starting out People can earn from the time they’re already spending online, and brands get to reach people through the content they actually want to watch There’s still so much more I want us to do here. A big part of that is attribution, helping brands understand what’s actually working so they have a reason to spend more and create more opportunities for people to earn But honestly, the part I’ve been thinking about most lately is the team We started fully remote. We’d get together for an offsite every two or three months, have a great time, then everyone would go home I knew being in person mattered, but I didn’t really get how much until the entire product team packed up and came together to build V2 We thought we were moving fast before lol Being in the same room has completely changed what that means to us. There’s so much less back and forth, we make decisions faster, and we get to work through things together as they come up We’ve pretty much all agreed we can never leave each other now 🤣 I don’t think I’ll ever take it lightly that people packed up their lives to come build this with us. Getting to sit next to them every day and see how much they care has been my favorite part of all of this So much work went into this release, and I wish everyone could see the people behind it V2 gives us the foundation for so much of what we’ve wanted to build. And being here with this team, seeing what we’re getting done every day, I’m more excited than ever about what comes next
