There's a cognitive dissonance in supporting United over the last 10+ years. The limited success we've had only ever benefiting the Glazers (and now Ineos). Maybe it has something to do with why the fanbase is so fractured. But it isn't the club I fell in love with.

No way this happened without some dressing room discussion. No fucking way.
This interview will go down in history as the one that changed Manchester United.

I like Rooney (Carragher, not so much). But what else are they going to say? They are ex-players with incredibly close ties to their respective clubs. And, honestly, their opinion means very little in these conversations. Completely disconnected from fans. skysports.com/football/news/…

Looks like Brexit is over then. What a disaster it's been.

Never understood why these guys didn’t make it big. Actually, I’m not sure if they ever made it out of Manchester tbh. Great band, though.

Katie Hopkins getting called a cunt & a bigot at the attitude awards by Kate Lawler is beautiful 😍 Fucking love it, sticking up for her mate Allison Hammond.

Boring, shit football. Carrick is neither a tactician nor a gambler.

Embarrassing defending. Martinez has been awful this season.

Following its recent buyout, @BathCity_FC has made pints in its bar £3 on match days. Nice touch, that. 👌

Who says late-stage capitalism doesn’t throw up some absolute zingers?! Not me. 👇
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.   The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.   But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.   That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.   It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.

Where would Man City be if they didn’t cheat? 🤷🏻‍♂️ We’ve taken the money pumped into the club by their owners, worked out which signings it funded each season and removed every Premier League goal those players scored. Here’s what the leagues would look like… A Thread 🧵👇🏼

This is how it feels to be City …
The timing of the leak and the subsequent publication of the guilty verdict by the Premier League was calculated and deliberate. ✅United have had a disastrous start to the season: their team looks listless and another £1bn of spend is required to compete. ✅More borrowing is needed as finances become ever more stretched. ✅A stadium getting more dilapidated by the day, with huge investment required. Contrast this with City: ✅A phenomenal transfer window, a newly expanded stadium, a new 400-bed hotel, upgraded hospitality suites and a spectacular fanzone. ✅City’s attendances now topping 60,000. ✅7 wins from 7 games – the season is looking very promising. The Premier League sat on this verdict for two years, and all we got after all that time was a lightweight, redacted report. The Premier League were hoping City would fade away. They were biding their time, but as this season progressed and City kept improving, the pressure built: “Where is the verdict?” The contrasting fortunes of the two big teams in Manchester became ever more apparent: City getting stronger, United getting weaker and staring into the abyss. The Manchester City juggernaut had to be stopped. The decision that had been postponed for two years finally had to be taken to halt City in its tracks and to save United from oblivion. The timing was chosen for maximum impact, maximum attention, maximum exposure and maximum damage – with no Premier League games for three weeks, there would be no distractions. The verdict wasn’t just announced; it was aggressive and vitriolic. It wasn’t the act of an independent regulator passing a verdict; it was a regulator attacking with venom against a foe, not behaving as an impartial, fair‑minded regulator. City cannot be cowed. We must stand up for truth and justice and take this case as far as necessary to clear our name.

45 years ago today, Bryan Robson signed for United A defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder, he could head, tackle, score goals, the most complete footballer I’ve ever seen and he carried the team and a whole generation of fans along with him
