In the last 3 days I’ve had my most viewed post (500k) and my most liked post (3k). Both completely different; one on marriage, one on London and neither about my industry. I’ll make around $100 off them. Post more thoughts!
He’s bang on with the view of the future here. I’ve started cutting all apps and saas that’s connected to Craftd. I only want MCP’s that benefit my harnesses now. In one case an analytics app increased our costs from £700pm to £5k per month so I cancelled (obviously) we’ve now merged a bunch of low price MCP driven apps to create a miles better version of it.
This is how you get your opex to ~5% or under. Give your people the Ai tools to make themselves 10x their output and cut software costs to the bone.
As I posted before, I've cancelled almost all of the SaaS subscriptions for my business
The only thing I still pay for as a business:
- AI inference
- Hetzner server hosting
- Cloudflare storage
- Backblaze backups
- Taxes
Now I started cancelling personal subscriptions too and just vibecoding my own versions or using Claude to take an open source project that does the same and then customize it for myself
All I still pay for personally is:
- Claude Code
- YouTube (content)
- Spotify (content)
- Starlink (internet)
- Phone eSIM
- Personal cloud storage
- Electricity and water (utility)
- Taxes
So if we summarize it for both, I only still pay for:
- AI inference
- Content
- Cloud storage & hosting
- Connectivity
- Electricity & water
- Taxes
So to summarize all my money now goes to:
- Content
- Data centers
- Power plants + water
- Governments
I think we'll be facing a tidal wave of cancellations once people find out how much money they can save
It's just how the economy works
If you’re a single guy and want to be in a relationship, know this. It’s really not hard to stand out as a good man these days, your competition is atrocious. Do these:
> become high value
> be optimistic, not miserable
> speak to girls in real life
> get off the ps5
> go on luxury dates
> be hot
> work out
> shower often
> be spontaneous
> earn money, don’t sponge.
> spend on people
> buy extravagant gifts
> be polite
> push yourself
> love people, it spreads
Seeing as the UK government don’t care about farmers, try and support them as much as you can. Go to farmers markets, buy from butchers, do what you can outside of supermarkets.
As a man who’s been with the same woman for 22 years (since 18) and is happily married, the secret sauce is to ensure you are both high value to each other. Go on as many dates as possible, dress nicely for each other, be hot, workout, have good hygiene, be spontaneous, earn good money, spend on each other, buy extravagant gifts, be polite, encourage each other to do things outside of their comfort zone and most of all, love the pants off each other.
Adding my 2 cents as a woman in a longterm relationship:
- Do not nag, ever.
- Always receive things graciously.
- Express gratitude for everything he does for you.
- Do not criticise or belittle him, ever. Most especially in front of other people.
- Tell him you’re proud of him, often.
- Smile at him, often.
- Don’t speak negatively about him to your girlfriends (all they hear is the bad & eventually they will tell you to leave him).
- Learn when to shut up.
- When he’s going out with his friends tell him “hope you have a great night”. Then just, simply, don’t blow up his phone. Do your own thing, have a bath, read a book, relax.
- It is not his job to make you happy it is yours, he simply adds to it.
- Don’t say “you never do x” because he will continue to never do that. You’re just affirming the negative. Instead of “you never take me on dates anymore” say “I would love to go out for dinner, just the two of us.”
- Don’t ever bring up something while you’re angry & upset. Calm down. Think it through properly. State how you feel in 1-2 sentences.
- Let him drive. Let him open the pickle jar. Let him lead the way while out in public.
I met a dog trainer the other day who gave awful advice. Corrective behaviour is cruelty and you should run a mile. Reward based is best if you actually love your dog.
Sometimes I sit down and really think about what to write. I do research and give away advice that will make others rich if they follow it. Then I write 13 divisive words about the UK and get my top post ever. Made me enough to cover my next steak.
Sell your cars and buy a converted V-Class and a driver. Best purchase I’ve ever made. PlayStation, Sky TV, get dropped outside places, sleep/work in the back and eat as many nuggets as you can when you’re bored of Michelin restaurants.
Can you imagine coming from no money, working for 20 years to make something of yourself, move to a nice part of london to put yourself in the best environment you can afford, only to be told by some people on X that you should sample the real london by slumming it? The UK.
Got some groceries from a little neighbourhood market today. Fresh as anything. Supermarkets could never.
I’m from Manchester, I’ve just got another place in London. I used to sell websites all over the UK so I’ve seen 75% of it from Dover to Falkirk. London is without a doubt the best place for what I choose to spend my money on; restaurants, hotels and wine.
Post something divisive, watch low IQ people get triggered, argue with each other, the post gets views, I get paid from X. Human nature meets capitalism. What a world.
The Ikigai is to build a brand, become completely financially free, then give back to the ecom community by making big investment bets in the next generation of founders.
Vince is the 🐐! We’ve done similar for this year but our biggest unlock is an 8-figure credit line from Santander and then 90 days after delivery terms with our supplier. The cash flow benefit doesn’t make the headlines but boy does it pay.
