The approach to VAR should be: * It's a really hard job * We now have technology and a team of people trying to do their best to get it right * The ref is just part of that team and they have the hardest job so are most likely to get stuff wrong
What sits at core of the VAR issues in PL is a desire to protect the status & authority of the on-field referee. This is outdated. Has to be "clear and obvious" to overturn -> natural bias to the ref. Dean admits as VAR didn't wanna embarrass mates -> maintains ref's status.

Always thought City's last two games looked tough. Having won the league they have obviously taken their foot off the pedal. But we're now in territory where winning just one of the two games against City or drawing both would have seen us finish above them.

Ødergaard always looks so much quicker than any other player around him. I don’t mean his running speed. It’s like so much more is happening per second. More touches, more body adjustments, more movements, more position scans. Like his individual video runs on a different feed.

My all-time fave
So much Arsenal love here for Patrick Vieira. Once a legend always a legend.

Bukayo Saka is just the 10th player to record double figures for goals and assists in the Premier League for Arsenal 97-98, 98-99 Bergkamp 02-03, 04-05 Henry 08-09 van Persie 09-10 Fabregas 12-13 Walcott 12-13 Cazorla 16-17 Alexis 22-23 Saka

Arsenal winning it at the death. An unsustainable way of winning. Indicator of things to come? Or a sign of potential champions? Short thread (1/4).

#Arsenal have named a starting XI without a single player to have made a competitive appearance under Arsene Wenger for the first time since 22nd January 1986 vs Aston Villa in the League Cup.

Three in three for Martinelli and it's gonna be very hard to resist the idea that you get so much more from him with Trossard (or Jesus) up front rather than Nketiah. Martinelli + Trossard > Martinelli + Nketiah

So much to unpack here. Ramsdale’s sprint towards the bench. Xhaka appearing out of nowhere (he had been subbed off) to join the celebrations and keep everyone in the huddle. What a magic.
Just look at this team togetherness and what it means. How well has Jorginho just fitted in and how well the players have taken to him. Absolutely love this

What a game. And a phenomenal reaction from Arsenal. Could be huge for title race. Will certainly be huge for confidence.
