I'll be honest. FC 27 isn't a bad game, but it's FAR from being one of the best FIFA/FC titles. The game is extremely unbalanced, and there are several things that are seriously ruining the experience for me. 🛡️ Manual Defending: One of the BEST additions EVER to the franchise, yet it doesn't reward good defending nearly enough. You can perfectly time a tackle with an elite defender who has the best PlayStyles, and still watch an average striker somehow win ridiculous rebounds and glitch straight through your defence. Sometimes it genuinely feels like it doesn't matter how well you defend. 🚨 95 Depth: RUINING the game more and more every day. And please, don't listen to the so-called pros claiming it's super easy to counter. IT ISN'T. The moment your opponent activates 95 depth, your players suddenly feel slow, unresponsive, and stuck in a 2-second delay. It's almost like the game deliberately makes your players worse. This mechanic is completely destroying the gameplay experience. ⚽ Shooting: Extremely boring and repetitive. Low driven shots and chip shots EVERYWHERE. I'm already tired of watching the exact same goals every single match. Where is the variety? Where is the creativity? Every game feels like watching a replay of the previous one. 🎯 Passing: Inconsistent and sometimes completely broken. You aim in one direction with your left stick, and the ball goes somewhere entirely different. Player commands simply don't register properly at times. It genuinely feels like I'm pressing my left stick in the wrong direction despite knowing exactly where I want the ball to go. 👩 Women in Ultimate Team: I don't even want to get started on how much women's cards have taken over Ultimate Team. Football just doesn't feel the same anymore. Facing 5–6 female players every single game, all squeezed into the same META 4-3-1-2 formation, is absolutely crazy. Meanwhile, the footballers we grew up watching, supporting, and cheering for every weekend are collecting dust on the bench because they simply cannot compete with the META. You can't even enjoy playing with your childhood football heroes anymore because someone like Pina will absolutely destroy them in-game. And here's the crazy part: I'd never even heard of Pina until a couple of years ago, let alone watched her play football. This isn't about disrespecting women's football. It's about the balance and identity of Ultimate Team. I want to build a squad around the footballers I love watching in real life, not feel forced into using the same handful of overpowered META cards just to stay competitive. Ultimate Team used to be about building YOUR dream team. Now it feels like you're punished for not building everyone else's. Overall, I expected MUCH MORE from EA SPORTS. The potential is definitely there, and I genuinely believe FC 27 has some great foundations, especially manual defending. But the overall gameplay desperately needs balancing. Good defending should be rewarded. Smart passing should matter. Shooting should offer variety. And most importantly, players should be able to enjoy using their favourite footballers without feeling massively disadvantaged. Right now, too many games are decided by broken mechanics, rebounds, 95 depth, and the same repetitive META rather than actual football intelligence and skill. FC 27 could be SO MUCH BETTER than what we're currently playing.
