Build abundance. Protect liberty. Advance civilization. Rewild the Earth. Explore the universe.
That's basically my entire political philosophy in a nutshell
For anyone with endless ideas, this agent age is nirvana as those ideas are met with endless execution, endless exploration. I've never had has much fun working with computers as I do right now. What a time to be alive.
I think the worst part about ChatGPT is the search....
it's way too hard to find the right, old thread
@OpenAI please improve search
the craziest thing about using AIs is that the job didn't get easier, just one part of it. Now it's more time on thinking and less on coding, but the job isn't easier. The thinking: problem solving, designing, prioritizing, managing... that's the whole job now.
Some people are naturally drawn to making computers do stuff, they're already coding. AI is leverage
There's a small group of dabblers or dev adjacent folks that will join in too
AI grows the dev pool, but only a bit
You still need that core itch to build
// great convo thread

I think they had dabbled very lightly, like maybe built a blender script by copy and pasting, but never really programmed.
Programming requires a ton of effort to do ANYTHING. It's a very steep learning curve IMO. Just not worth it for most people.
I might be the best use case for AI.
I have a reasonable amount of dev experience, am reasonably intelligent, curious and into active learning.
I've never learned more and accomplished more technically than I have in the last 12 months.
For me, it's more like, "VR is very cool, but needs to be one of many cool things I'm working on, not the only one"

Most of you will say "who the hell needs this?" But like 5% of you will say "where has this been my whole life?"
The Reverse Scheduler app I've been building is about to kick off alpha testing 🚀. This tool for Google Calendar helps you plan *backwards* from big events (flights, parties, etc). Make a simple itinerary with what needs to be done, and how long it will take, no last-minute chaos.

live demo failure aside, I like where Meta's going with the AR glasses. These things are going to be huge over the next 5-10 years.
This is incredible. There are a ton of really interesting applications of this. Excited to get my hands on it.

x.com CEO resigns....
isn't Elon the CEO?
Who was Linda?
🤔 I think I get why she resigned

I've been casually writing a short sci-fi novel and was stuck on where to take it until mecha-Hitler happened here on X and I now have the inspiration I need for where to take the story. Thanks @grok
I never pick up my VR headset enough,
but when I do, I enjoy it immensely
To me, it's the friction of putting on the headset that is holding VR back from being mainstream
That's why AR glasses are the key to mainstreaming 3D content, because then they'll already be on

Totes, and more millionaires, and just solid upper middle class folks, and comfortable middle class homeowners, and nobody hungry, bankrupt with medical bills, etc.
I'm all for more billionaires in a system where everyone gets better.
Abundance is the key.
To understand the real concerns around the water pistol toting activists, we need to look at their number one concern: housing costs
