There's something deeply sad and tragic about how one of the cornerstones of millennial childhood evolved into a speculative asset class.
We grew up and now even the nostalgia feels ruined because the financial value of these cards has overshadowed everything that made them special to us in the first place.
I disagree.
Collecting cards as kids was magical because no one cared about wear, scratches, folds etc. we carried our beloved cards in our pockets, backpacks, pencil boxes, and in rubber bands.
No one cared about pristine 10’s
No one cared about how much their cards would be worth in 20 yrs
You traded the rarest cards for a basic holo bc you liked the pokemon
Every crease and tear on these cards remind me of when collecting cards was meant to be - enjoyed, not monetized.
Kids these days are more worried about pulling the highest value card and then storing it perfectly in the dark until they sell it. <\3
One of the biggest user experience gaps today in AI apps is how text heavy and non visual the responses are. Surprising no one has cracked this yet.
they’re really sticking it in every nook and cranny. failure is not an option. you have to respect it lol.

To be fair the @saturday logo was incredibly iconic in its own right + with the ubiquity of IG any change would feel worse because it feels less familiar.
Rolling out some new interface experiments in Moneybot on @CashApp
First one: Visual Prompts.
We’re trying to move AI beyond chat UI. Chat assumes you know what to ask, then makes you read instead of just showing.
Visual Prompts bring together context, visual interface, and actions around what matters most in the moment.
A change in spending. An upcoming payment. A chance to save more.
Goal is to feel more GUI than chatbot.
Will report back what customers think.
New PiP dock is very interesting.
Like: keeps the feed unobstructed.
Dislike: can’t resize for better viewing.
