Happy birthday to us! Sadly, there’s no cake, but today we’re still celebrating 55 years since the OU was established by Royal Charter. Huge thanks to all members of the #OUfamily – we wouldn’t be here without you! #OUCharterDay

Very proud of @OUComputing colleagues @bp5, @danieljgooch & team for their highly consequential research, empowering patients to monitor their pain. Coincidentally, the work started as a thread in an @EPSRC funded privacy management project over 10yrs ago! privacydynamics.net

NEW: we need to talk about UK graduate wages, and the idea that Britain sends too many people to university. American readers should stick around for the UK/US comparisons 👀 Let’s start with this: the UK graduate wage premium has fallen substantially over the last 25 years

We are shocked and desperately saddened to learn that the famous Sycamore Gap tree at Hadrian's Wall has been felled overnight, in what appears to be an act of vandalism. We know just how much this iconic tree is loved locally, nationally and by everyone who has visited. We are working with our partners to understand what has happened and what can be done. The incident has also been reported to the police.
