We use Taikai and some of its rules to set better boundaries in Fullstack4j (fullstack4j.dev/). Give Taikai a try and a star! It's definitely worth it! Thank you @mnhocktweets !

Rodili smo se u Sarajevu sredinom sedamdesetih, iza sedam gora i sedam mora. U stvari, u zemlji koje više nema. Odrastali smo u posljednjoj deceniji socijalističke Jugoslavije i danas bismo rekli da smo imali sretno djetinjstvo. Bilo je to prilično opušteno vrijeme: sport, rock muzika i druženje, bez nacionalizma i bez etničke i vjerske mržnje. #Sarajevo #muzika #Bosna #Hrvatska #Srbija #CrnaGora

Hi, Spring fans! 🚀 in this episode, I enjoyed a fascinating deep dive into the future of coding with JetBrains AIR: chat-first IDE workflows, agent orchestration, spec-driven development, MCP/ACP integrations, and even AI-powered debugging with lock points, with JetBrains’ Anton Arhipov. The big takeaway? Software creation is rapidly shifting from manual coding to guided, collaborative workflows with AI. Wild stuff. #JetBrains #AI #Java #DevTools #MCP #Agents podbean.com/pw/pbblog-zw857-…

I used Reverse Engineer Anything to re-create raycast on @omarchy. And I was blown away! In just a couple hours I have a fully-functioning raycast-like launcher! Right now it: * Learns your habits * Apps + every Omarchy action in one search * Aliases & favorites * Keyboard-first * Follows your Omarchy theme live, opens in ~40ms repo: github.com/typecraft-dev/oma…

how do you trust your agents' work more? copy this post/link and give it to your @bot or agent! 1. codebase improvements: this is just good software engineering - better architecture, stronger types and invariants, clear boundaries. agents love to copy what exists and take the shortest path, so make the easy thing the right thing. categorically eliminate problems through code and you won't need to think about it again. 2. static analysis: lint rules, tests, CI, verification (eg TLA+). very token efficient ways to catch issues ahead of time. 3. prose: comments, rules, AGENTS.md, skills - anything that can't be enforced and requires agent judgment. use it minimally, but do use /create-verification-skill. 4. human review: the hardest to scale. at the rate agents land code, it's pretty much impossible to thoroughly review every PR, so spend that effort on the highest leverage point, designing an environment where agents do the right thing by default. this forms an inverse pyramid: you want most of your effort at the top, least at the bottom. codebase improvements are deterministic, making it more token efficient, and lets you sleep more soundly at night. install github.com/cursor/plugins/tr… and create a new Project: 1. look through my slack/chat messages and code review comments where i've given feedback on PRs, code, architecture 2. use /recall on my past transcripts to learn how i steer agents 3. /poteto-mode use /correct and /architect on past commits to find the most common pitfalls agents fall into, then propose a plan to rearchitect the code i own so it's more agent friendly. answer open questions with prototyping rather than defer to me, and back the plan with real data. 4. before you begin, use /sharpen + /in-your-own-words and confirm this prompt with me

You don't have to commit your entire life to optimism, just try it on for a week. Start thinking "what if it all worked out?" and "what a time to be alive!". Then compare your state of mind to the week before filled with pessimism and doomer nonsense.

I use ArchUnit and Spring Modulith tests to verify Architecture and module boundary correctness. I want to run these tests before other tests and fail fast if there are any architecture violations skipping remaining tests. 1. Specify TestClassOrder In src/test/resources/junit-platform.properties file, add the following property: junit.jupiter.testclass.order.default=org.junit.jupiter.api.ClassOrderer$OrderAnnotation 2. Add org.junit.jupiter.api.Order(1) on the tests you want to run first. @Order(1) class ArchUnitTests { // tests } @Order(1) class ModularityTests { // tests } Note: Default order value for elements not explicitly annotated with @Order, equal to the value of Integer.MAX_VALUE / 2. 3. Fail Fast by using "./mvnw test -Dsurefire.skipAfterFailureCount=1" or "./gradlew test --fail-fast" This will exit running tests on encountering first failure.

No amount of agent skills and harness engineering makes AI coding agents write code exactly the way you want to. Period. Deterministic libraries like ArchUnit, Spring Modulith, etc are the way to actually enforce your architecture rules.

We chose monolith over microservices for our new product in 2024. Everyone on the team wanted microservices. Modern. Scalable. Cloud native. We said no. We are 4 engineers. We do not have time to manage 15 services. Built a modular monolith. Clear boundaries. Separate packages. Could split later if needed. One year later: We serve 20,000 users. Deploy 4 times per day. Our infrastructure bill is $200 per month. Microservices would have cost us 5 times that per month plus engineering time.
