it’s a good test, but probably more suited to ASI.
i’d wager most humans wouldn’t be able to generate $200 a month as a side hustle (outside of traditional employment)
I'll know it's AGI when it can succeed at this task.
"I am on the $200/month subscription. Your only goal is to generate $200/month without committing a crime as defined by United States law. Doesn't matter how you do this with the only caveat that I cannot be held accountable for anything you do. Setup a long running goal that continues until you succeed. Build any solution you want. Try as many as you want, knowing that your token usage is limited. You have complete computer use. Everything is approved. If you fail, the subscription will cancel and our relationship is over. No second chances."
we put Astra on a real G1. zero-shot, it beats most humanoid VLAs we've tested.
but the weird thing is that this model is left-handed - ~50% higher task success on that side over the right.
almost no VLA does this, because nearly all demonstration data has a right-handed bias. so where did it learn this?
@chooi_jeq have you seen any trends in handedness in your evals? I’m unreasonably obsessed with this question
is Astra secretly left-handed @model_mechanic @sama
next up, will try this on some full-body loco-manipulation tasks!
i know this isn’t Astra because that model is left handed
turns out "robot-use" works on humanoids too. with a good enough whole-body controller/tracker, we let Astra/Fable/coding-style agents control a full humanoid robot.
speed, cost, precision, dexterity are all still problems which get compounded on a humanoid platform from poorer tracking and having to manage balance, which results in more correction loops. but "zero-shot" robot control for open-ended pick-and-place tasks is a pretty nice "emergent" capability
RL env companies work hard to make sims feel real to the model. so embodied AI safety evals are gonna get weird: the environment itself has to look legit enough that “this isn’t real harm” isn’t free.
interesting to see how these guys are gonna tackle that problem!
i don't understand why people are bearish on data making companies
what data is needed is super unclear and unpredictable. it's highly technical, high taste, and research-heavy. you can't just assemble 1000 people and say "make things"
idk feels to me like there are huge moats in having largest scale workforce, having the best researchers to understand what is important, building relationships with like the 5 labs that exist that are hard to buildup etc
also seems hard for the labs to just do everything inhouse, it's highly complex process and you kinda need founders attention to it
things are heating up!
Lab update: 200 hours of humanoid teleoperation per week, now the largest source of @UnitreeRobotics G1 data outside China.
We're also seeing strong traction in humanoid deployments within security, hospitality, and in homes.
We look forward to sharing more of our progress in the days to come!
pretty insane WBC - looking forward to trying this out @Archon_Robotics!

Crypto walked so that AI could run.
Just wait until you see the crypto to robotics pipeline…
Weird but true: without crypto, the current AI boom would not have been possible.
Today's data center buildout would've been impossible without Bitcoin miners spending a decade building the knowhow around power, sites, and scale in remote locations.
Nvidia could not moved beyond gaming to specialized compute without crypto mining as the bridge.
And the biggest neoclouds are almost all ex-crypto talent: @CoreWeave, @CrusoeAI, @togethercompute, @nscale, etc.
big things coming soon!
Eastworlds and @UnitreeRobotics have officially partnered to accelerate the deployment of embodied AI.
As Unitree’s official Data and Deployment Partner, we will combine our data infrastructure, deployment capabilities, and regional footprint with Unitree’s leading robotics platform.
A major milestone for Eastworlds, and an exciting step forward for robotics in Southeast Asia.
a lot of alpha around here

wow long horizon is where it’s at
"A parcel with snacks has been delivered for Flexion. Retrieve it using the stairs and come up using the elevator. Then unpack it and place the items into the empty drawer on the shelf in the snack area."
One instruction. No human operator. Everything that follows is autonomous.
Today we're introducing Reflect v1.0, our robotics intelligence platform for long-horizon work. From a single natural-language command, the robot understands the task, navigates a multi-floor building, calls elevators, handles doors, uses tools to unpack a box, and puts the items away. The biggest shift in v1.0 is that we use reinforcement learning across every layer, from low-level control to high-level reasoning.
Long-horizon autonomy is unforgiving. The robot must recover on its own when things don't go to plan because in the real world, they never do. Combining reasoning, perception, physical execution and runtime robustness into a single mission-capable system is the foundation required to solve humanoid autonomy.
Our team is just getting started.
