I've not spoken about this directly before, but it seems the right time. Tomorrow our daughter Penny will be admitted into hospital for a stem cell transplant. She has a rare autoimmune condition which causes her body to attack itself. In the last 2 years we've nearly lost (1/8)

Most heartbreaking scene? To this day I can't listen to that music

Yeah, thanks academia, but I'm pretty sure this mention from a newspaper in 1853 is not me

May the fourth be with you! Today we celebrate Star Wars Day, and we couldn't help but share this fantastic throwback photo of Chelsea Pensioner, Peter Goad, standing next to a Storm Trooper. #starwarsday #maythefourthbewithyou #chelseapensioners

It's so good to be back on stage again. A big symbolic step away from the hell of the last few years

Don't often comment on musicals here, but I have to say that was the most phenomenal rendition of a song that has been done to death. Fantastic

I got a U (too low to even get a grade) in AS Physics. My terrible excuse is that by the time we came to the final exam I knew I'd made a huge mistake picking it (very much not a scientist), and I was going to drop it and start again with different subjects anyway

Flex your lowest academic low score. To remind us that almost everyone fails at some point in life but it isn't the end of the road. Just a memory in the end. Mine was 27/100 in Engineering Math 2, just a year after I'd scored 99 in 12th boards. Much needed kick in my butt.

There are a couple, but I'll never forgive them for wasting Jeremy Jordan in the musical episode. One of the finest musical theatre performers around and he gets a couple of lines in a group number

It's 1st December, and that means it's time for the 2nd annual lego advent calendar reveal! This year we've moved away from Star Wars, and have instead gone for Martin Scorcese's favourite: the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special advent calendar!
