Good Sunday morning! I’ve been bringing a series of messages on Characteristics of a Christian, and this week we open the Bible to II Timothy 1:13, where Paul instructs Timothy, the next generation: “Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus …”.
In other words, Hold Onto the Truth.
Have you considered that at any given time, the Truth is only one generation away from being forgotten and lost? The Bible is the Truth of God, and as Christians we must hold fast to the Word! We need to spend time digesting the Word daily. Make it part of your daily routine.
Today I’m sharing the urgent need for Christians to double down on something: Grab hold of the Truth of the Bible and intentionally pass it on to the next generation.
I am so concerned about the slippage and loss of truth between today and the next generation of Believers. Like never before we must grasp and hold onto the Word of God so that we can pass it down to our children and grandchildren.
