New Peter Mac-led research is changing how we think about breast density.
Not only can it make it harder to interpret mammogram scans, there are signs that dense breasts promote more aggressive #cancer growth.

Really happy to share my new research paper out with A/Prof Kara Britt. In this study, we found that tumours arising in high-density breast tissue show distinct immune and genomic features, including immune profiles that may actually support tumour growth. nature.com/articles/s41523-0…
