We run a number of Dancing for Well-Being groups in the Harrogate district in North Yorkshire - dancing can be done sitting or standing. It's great fun!

Thank you to everyone who joined Marg, Jean and me from Dancing for Well-Being for some brilliant dancing at the Starbeck Community Day today. You were wonderful! Even our local MP Andrew Jones and County Councillor Philip Broadbank were unable to resist joining in!

Group Leader, Jann, had a lovely surprise this week. The Starbeck group gave her a gift for her wedding next month, saying "Over the past 3 years (forget COVID!) you have brought joy into our lives. We hope this rose "Tranquility" brings you and Nick joy for many years to come".

What a beautiful day! We were able to sit outside to enjoy refreshments and a good natter after dancing today at our Bilton group. Larrie, Bilton Community Centre's Caretaker, very kindly put the umbrellas up so we had the shade we needed. No-one wanted to leave!

We're going to continue running our Friday Zoom sessions 2.30 - 3.45 pm. They are a great way for older people who can’t come to our group sessions to exercise at home, enjoy lovely music & dances, and chat with like-minded people. If you're interested we'd love to hear from you.

I'm very excited to say we're planning to restart our Dancing for Well-Being groups in the middle of May. Our group leaders are gearing up and Margaret has roped in a volunteer to practice some seated dances with her. This is Pan and this face means he's really enjoying himself!

We invited our members to send us photos of themselves taking part in our Prop Dances film sessions - dancingforwellbeing.org/danc… - and this one from Kate and Esther really made us smile -
