Every problem is harder to solve when there's a housing shortage.

This is why housing is so expensive. Not Blackrock, landlord greed, or avocado toast...just your neighbors & parents who bought a house, then used local government regulations to make it impossible to build more The result: Their housing prices go up. Young people locked out
74% of LA's residential zoning is single-family housing only. The median cost for a house in LA is $1,023,474.

this chart is one of the most vivid recent examples of how to lie with data millions of people convinced that millions of votes were added last year because people put up a truncated chart mid-count sharing in part bc the chart made me pause when I saw it at first
Sorry to beat a dead horse, but can we go back to what happened here?

As of November 8, 2024 votes are still being counted. Millions more are still expected to be added to the total. leadstories.com/hoax-alert/202…

I wish I were one of the 100 million people who believed Trump when he lies about good things he’s not actually going to do. I would be happier.
Trump on high skilled immigration!!! I will staple green card on everyone with a graduate degree. @elonmusk, @DavidSacks, @chamath - ALL IN?

This is a tweet about how the Harris campaign spent 0.1% of their money.

Ticket splitting is a new thing. Never happened before. That’s the new conspiracy theory. 63,000 likes and counting.
I do not believe in the mirage of voters who voted the whole down ballot Dem but also voted Trump. Apparently, millions of Americans did that, but I haven’t seen or heard of a single one. So if that’s you, please explain.

Government needs to work much, much faster than this.
democrats put enormous amounts of money into infrastructure investments like CHIPS and IRA but voters didn’t see any of it because Democrats are just totally unwilling to confront, or even mention, the process ghouls that strangle everything in red tape

Tariffs would’ve been the perfect answer to the “what’s different between you and Biden” question. Vote Kamala and end the Trump-Biden tariffs that are making prices so high!

Governing is harder in the 2020s than it was in the previous two decades because interest rates actually respond to the federal deficit now. The Bush and Trump I trifectas could blow up the deficit with tax cuts and face no consequences. That won’t work this time.

Time and time again, if you gave the Biden administration some choice that would, say, result in $5 more to workers but cost consumers $6, they'd do it. They were doing it right to the very end with the longshoremen. For good and for bad, Biden got the economy he aimed for.

Amazing how you can ask people how the economy’s doing and Democrats answer honestly while Republicans answer entirely based on who’s president.
I have no idea what you do about this lol. It's so polarized on partisan lines.

I’ve never seen this guy’s tweets before but now he’s going viral multiple times a day with election conspiracy theories.
There is no way on earth Kamala Harris, who had the highest Dem voter enthusiasm since Obama, massive rallies all across the nation, and a broad coalition of support, in an election with women’s body autonomy on the line—only received 69 million votes.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
There an estimated 16.2M votes left to count with about half of those in California as of Wednesday afternoon. verifythis.com/article/news/v…

People do this every election. They don’t wait for all the votes to be counted and they just start doing conspiracy theories.

Save us, Iowa
Big picture: The states that were supposed to be close look quite close so far. Tentatively, it’s shaping up to be a good night for the polls.

Yeah because people’s expectations were wrong in 2016.
Godspeed to you if you're going to a party (?) to watch tonight, but I had a party in 2016 to watch the results, and the vibe shift that happened was so sudden and horrific that I'll quite simply never do that again in my life.

A lot of accounts on here make stupid posts, but this one is exceptional in that you can see the effort he’s putting in to make his posts as stupid as he can make them.
A Harris victory would be hard to explain. Even in DEEP BLUE cities, support for Trump and the Unity Movement is common, and very much out in the open. Harris on the other hand, can’t seem to manage a stalled teleprompter and is obviously unfit to govern. Her supporters seem eager to change the subject.

Why is Trump’s campaign all about tariffs this time? What changed from his first two campaigns?
NEW: In a Raleigh rally just now, former President Donald Trump said if elected, he would charge other countries a 25% tariff on anything they imported into the country IF their citizens come to America and commit crimes. He did not expand on that plan. @WNCN
