🚨 Over HALF of nurses in a new UK survey told us terminally ill patients are being cared for in places not designed for it, including corridors.
We’ll say that again. Dying people are being cared for in corridors.
No one should spend their final days like this. The government must make fixing end of life care a priority.
So proud that @MarieCurieUK’s new specialist palliative care service in London’s North Middlesex Hospital Emergency Department is already making such a difference. 🙌
👉 In 6 months, we’ve supported 280 patients, with 73% accessing palliative care services for the first time

🚨 New data show significant gaps in end of life care in hospitals across England. Too many people are missing out on conversations about what matters most to them, and inequalities in care remain. The government must act.

🚨 Thousands of terminally ill people are missing out on fast-tracked access to benefits payments they’re entitled to. This isn’t right. Everyone diagnosed with a terminal illness should be told what financial support is available – and how to access it quickly.

People living with an illness that won’t get better deserve financial security until the very end.
Repost if you agree. 💛
I worked with Gareth in Hertford a while back. A dedicated paramedic suffered a sudden cardiac arrest running the London Marathon. This GFM is to support his family while Gareth receives treatment. Please consider donating or sharing if you can, gofund.me/9715ef28b
If you’re able to support a fellow Greenie 🚑 with whom I used to work with, anything would help. 💚💚 justgiving.com/crowdfunding/…
After 9 years employed, and a total of 25 years volunteering, with St John Ambulance, it’s time for this chapter to come to a close and for the next chapter to begin. I shall be leaving the charity at the end of December with truly mixed emotions. 1/4
The last few years have been brutal but I’m proud of all we’ve achieved for the organisation, its people, but ultimately for society as a whole. The world is a richer place for the amazing lifesavers it’s created. 3/4

We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community in light of today's terrible tragedy in Crumpsall. May their memory be a blessing.
An absolute privilege to represent @stjohnambulance at @TASCharity Annual Memorial Service at @Nat_Mem_Arb today to remember colleagues and friends no longer with us. Truly humbling event, and so lovely to see so many familiar faces too. They will never be forgotten 💚💚
Today, @stjohnambulance support the @Great_Run in Newcastle. 23 ambulances across the route briefed and ready to go, alongside hundreds of other resources. Have a great day and thanks for being there for the community.

This gentleman was truly remarkable and pioneering. Paramedicine owes his absolutely everything. 💚💚
RIP to the founding father of Paramedic Science, Professor Douglas Chamberlain CBE, OStJ, KSG (1931 to 2025).
An absolute legend, father to all emergency medical personnel past, present and future, and undoubtedly the saviour of millions of lives since 1971 through his development of pre-hospital emergency care and implementation of cardiac resuscitation techniques.
You will be greatly missed but always admired and importantly, never forgotten!
As England’s first aid charity, here @stjohnambulance were excited to be recruiting our Head of Event Healthcare to develop and grow our reach and save more lives. sja.org.uk/careers-at-sja/va…
Thoroughly welcoming the latest @stjohnambulance campaign in tackling the stigma around talking about #MentalHealth - worth a watch.
