I think I might be the only one who doesn’t have major beefs with the Duo. It’s not perfect but man does this make the iPhone feel exciting and fun again.
Actually I do have one complaint… the volume buttons are in a horrendous spot. That’s my biggest issue so far 😂
We did end up fist fighting after this…just so people dont think @MacRumors and @9to5mac can actually co-exist
😂 great seeing you too!
Straight to jail for this behavior
iPhone Duo pre-orders for launch day are currently selling on eBay for $3000+
All I have to remember to stay humble about how cool new tech is these days is just to look back on watching one dedicated channel in order to see what was playing on OTHER channels or how my first cell phone could only work if it was plugged into the car. Phone calls only.
No, I am not THAT old lol
Translation: we vastly underestimated how many people want CarPlay in their cars
GM is bringing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto back to its vehicles after getting rid of it a couple years ago.
"As we evolve our UI systems, we want customers to feel like they're interacting with a single experience rather than moving from room to room inside a house," Mike Wahlstrom, GM's connected apps and services leader, said in a statement. finance.yahoo.com/markets/ar…
I have seen practically no posts about pre-ordering an iPhone this year. Are we finally done doing that or does everyone just not care about this phone and all energy is being saved for the Duo?
Wut? This isn’t AVP at all. I will admit I did think the price could be a killer for some but it ended up being right around what other competitors charge for its foldables. Samsungs zfold 8 sold INCREDIBLY well for $100 less.
Financing exists and apps automatically take advantage of the display without developers having to do much though the experience can be better if they tailor their apps a bit. Which I would guess is so much easier than building for an entirely different product category like AVP.
I think iPhone Duo just made the Vision Pro mistake…
A novel device with no clear use case that's too expensive for the average person
No adoption = less developers building on it
No developers = no "killer app" or clear use case
It's a shame because Apple makes beautiful tech that looks like magic
These things deserve to be in more hands. But that price is just too hard to justify without a clear reason why
The crease on most foldables is such a funny argument for people. Yes you can see and feel them but they are truly non invasive and you don’t even realize it’s there after a few minutes.
The iPhone Duo is the best one at hiding it so far. Nano texture really helps this.
Very clearly variable aperture obviously but still appreciate a good teaser. Who’s excited for later today!?? Let me know what you want Apple to release 👇#appleevent
