Tropics remain active in the Pacific, but much toned down. What will soon be Norbert (now TD14e) will head west and likely become a hurricane over the weekend. This does have a chance to threaten Hawaii by NEXT weekend, but much divergence in guidance around 140W.
The CPC tropical outlook highlighted an area off the east coast for week2 (maybe their first of the season) but the only way something develops here is off an old front so who knows. This would be for the period Sept 23-29th. We could always get a little spin in the northern Gulf, but nothing shows this at the time of this tweet. The Atlantic remains dead.
