Hola, soy palestino. 1947. La ONU me ofreció un estado. Junto a Israel. Fronteras, independencia, reconocimiento. Me dio autonomía. ¿Democracia? No he tenido elecciones en casi 20 años.

I said to my wife; "These new scales are great. I can tell how much my poo weighs." Wife: "So you weigh yourself before and after and the difference is the weight of your poo?" Me; "Er, yeah, I guess you could do it that way."

It’s remarkable how every politician who reaches the top manages to rewrite their ambition as an act of selfless public service. You didn’t spend 25 years climbing the greasy pole because you accidentally found yourself in No.10, Andy. You wanted power. You wanted the status, the influence and, above all, the validation that comes with finally being the man at the top. There’s nothing inherently wrong with ambition. What’s irritating is the sanctimonious attempt to dress it up as something nobler than it was. You wanted to be Prime Minister because you believed you should be Prime Minister. That’s ambition, ego and political calculation, not some great personal sacrifice for the British people. At least own it. The country might respect you more for the honesty.

So, I’ve watched the highlights of the Tour de France shows on both TNT and Channel 5 and they are both poor. Both feel like shopping channels with the minimum effort made compared to previous year’s excellent coverage from @ITVSport

Does this mean that by providing ID, the government will be able to monitor posts and have your address so they can send round the goon squad? @elonmusk
This government will not stand by while children are put at risk online. Today I am calling on the tech companies to introduce device-level controls to prevent children from taking, sharing or viewing nude images. And if they don’t act, we will.

I am 71. And, Keir Starmer - despite all the media approrobia - is possibly the best Prime Minister I have experienced in this country.
