We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

It’s cool. But in 15 years of being a designer, I’ve yet to meet a client or PM who can verbally articulate what they actually want.
This is GPT-6 Astra. Anything you can do on a computer, Astra can do for you. Fast.

We are releasing the world's first case study of self improving products at Amplitude. A lot of companies have talked about it but none have shown any examples. We have the holy grail of this space and can show it! We've been running our self improving product engine, Wave, on top of Amplitude for the last few months. It's made lots of changes to our website and product based on analytics, session replay, and many other data sources. These have resulted in MASSIVE improvements in metrics on the order of 50% to 3x, not incremental ones. These include: - Personalized suggestion cards on a homepage led to a +160% increase in usage - Improved doc search accuracy from 92% to 97% by setting a 3 character minimum - Reducing setup checklist from five next steps to one guided first step, projected to improve onboarding completion from ~6% to ~9%. - Adding a CTA to each blog post leading to 45 extra signups a week We're slowly rolling Wave out to a few customers and will be sharing examples from them soon. Check it out here and sign up if you're interested in entering the closed beta:
(1/6) i'm the pm on Wave at @Amplitude, our agent for self-improving products. for the past few months we've had it running on our own product. it finds problems, ships fixes, and measures whether they worked. here are some highlights:

Self-improving products is a meta idea every company should be implementing. Some of the core pieces you will need: 1/ a crisp definition of the various metrics you care about : primary, secondary, guardrail 2/ an articulation of your strategy, roadmap and metrics you care about moving the most 3/ knowledge base of past product decisions and principles so the agent knows how decisions get made 4/ connections to your to your internal product systems: dashboards, APIs, MCPs, and tools your agent needs to observe and act on your product. 5/ a harness built with knowledge of your end to end product development flow. Depending on the complexity of your product, you might be able to prototype with fairly simple versions of each of the above and reuse existing swe agents.

Ok. Here’s another bug @kunalb11
Pinged Kunal Shah a few days back about a bug. Not only did they fix it, but a senior leader reached out on WhatsApp informing about the fix!

The design partner strategy that accelerates PMF Find 5 users who feel the problem most acutely. Give them: early access, your personal number, weekly calls, and veto power on product direction. Get from them: brutal feedback, weekly usage, specific failure reports, and referrals to 5 others. Design partners don't just validate your product. They build it with you.

Agency > Intelligence I had this intuitively wrong for decades, I think due to a pervasive cultural veneration of intelligence, various entertainment/media, obsession with IQ etc. Agency is significantly more powerful and significantly more scarce. Are you hiring for agency? Are we educating for agency? Are you acting as if you had 10X agency? Grok explanation is ~close: “Agency, as a personality trait, refers to an individual's capacity to take initiative, make decisions, and exert control over their actions and environment. It’s about being proactive rather than reactive—someone with high agency doesn’t just let life happen to them; they shape it. Think of it as a blend of self-efficacy, determination, and a sense of ownership over one’s path. People with strong agency tend to set goals and pursue them with confidence, even in the face of obstacles. They’re the type to say, “I’ll figure it out,” and then actually do it. On the flip side, someone low in agency might feel more like a passenger in their own life, waiting for external forces—like luck, other people, or circumstances—to dictate what happens next. It’s not quite the same as assertiveness or ambition, though it can overlap. Agency is quieter, more internal—it’s the belief that you *can* act, paired with the will to follow through. Psychologists often tie it to concepts like locus of control: high-agency folks lean toward an internal locus, feeling they steer their fate, while low-agency folks might lean external, seeing life as something that happens *to* them.”
Intelligence is on tap now so agency is even more important

India just gave the whole internet a free lesson on the power of FOSS (Free and open-source software). The Home Ministry's cybercrime unit ordered GitHub to delete BitChat. Three hour deadline. Comply or face legal action. Here's the problem with that plan. BitChat runs on pure Bluetooth mesh. No internet. No SIM. No phone number. No central server. Protesters started using it precisely because the government kept shutting the internet off, and it just kept working. You cannot delete an app that's already living on people's phones and passing messages device to device. And the source code? Open source. Within hours it was mirrored to a decentralized platform. Every person who copies it becomes another node the order can't reach. This is the whole point of self custody thinking, applied to communication instead of money. You can serve a takedown to a company. There's a CEO, an office, a legal team, a single point of pressure. You cannot serve a takedown to a network that nobody owns. India didn't kill BitChat. It ran a live demo of why unkillable infrastructure exists. #FOSS #PrivacyIsNotACrime
