Someone filming what they thought was road rage ends up in the middle of an attempted murder. A man chasing another with a knife, screaming for help, trying to get in the car door while it’s still moving - the driver ends up dragging him nearly 100 feet before he gets in safely.
The knife guy? Calmly sits down and waits for police once it’s over. Turns out this was jealousy over an ex. The victim needed treatment for an eye injury and cuts. The suspect was arrested within minutes.
Sometimes the scariest part of a crime isn’t the crime itself - it’s how calm the person is right after.
Details are still developing on this one - I’ll update if more comes out.
What would you have done in his position?

Identical twin couples gave birth to baby boys at the same time in 2021 which are considered quaternary multiples, which means they are full genetic siblings from identical twin parents.
Although technically cousins, the boys are genetically brothers.

Medicine is rarely black and white; it exists in innumerable shades of gray. Online commentary seems to treat PPP as a strict binary, but clinical pathology is complex. PPP could be 99.9% of the cause, or it might be the final 0.1% that tips someone over the edge when combined with baseline vulnerabilities like bipolar disorder (itself a complex spectrum disease deeply intertwined w/ PPP). Add severe insomnia to the mix—progressive sleep deprivation reliably induces psychotic features in anyone (so dangerous that Guinness officially banned sleep deprivation records). Then, add antipsychotics & other psych meds at previous times, and the clinical picture becomes almost unfathomably complex.
I usually despise using anecdotes to make a point, but I’ll share this because it parallels the discussions around this case. A woman I personally knew with four kids developed PPP. She hanged herself… homecoming queen, nurse, seemingly perfect life, etc. For weeks, she exhibited symptoms, but her husband insisted on handling it through their Catholic church rather than seeking medical intervention. It sounds like LC was also trying to get help via her clergy.
The alternative hypothesis requires believing that an experienced neonatal nurse rationally planned the deaths of her children, expected to escape responsibility, and then intentionally made an extraordinarily dangerous suicide attempt. You don’t have to claim that proves psychosis; it simply belongs in the totality of the evidence.
……Or, we are supposed to believe that this nurse who cared for infants all those years was fully in her right mind, playing 5D chess and thinking she was going to get away with murder via a "faux" suicide attempt—diving headfirst out of a 20-foot window and paralyzing herself for life. She should clearly now be held fully responsible and burned at the stake. 🤔
Bottom line: I don’t know exactly what happened, and neither does anyone confidently diagnosing her—or declaring her completely sane or not—either in that court room, media, or elsewhere. That’s precisely my point. Psychiatry, causation, capacity, and criminal responsibility are extraordinarily nuanced questions requiring the complete clinical record; a life resume alone cannot make a determination in this case. Most people discussing this case literally no nothing about medicine. If people have strong beliefs about what happened here, I would suggest they examine why they have a predisposition to those beliefs, as they are likely having difficulty with their ability to evaluate the facts objectively

Dramatic bodycam footage captures the moment a police dog rescues a missing 3-year-old toddler from Michigan, who was found wearing only a diaper.
The boy had vanished from his home and was discovered after an officer and his K-9 tracked a footprint near the house, leading them to a body of water less than a mile away.
This particular K-9 has already found four children with the same type scenario.

A 5-year-old boy called 911 to say his mother had collapsed. The operator told him to stop playing on the phone and hung up. He sat alone with her for 3 hours. By the time anyone came, she was already d*ad.
Robert Turner was five years old when his mother collapsed in their Detroit home on February 20, 2006.
He dialled 911 and told the operator his mom had passed out.
The operator, Sharon Nichols, asked him where his father was. When Robert couldn't explain, she decided it was a prank and ended the call. No police or ambulance were sent.
Robert spent the next three hours watching his mother deteriorate. At 9:02 p.m. he called again.
The second operator threatened to send police to the house to punish him for playing on the phone and demanded his mother come to the phone.
His mother could not come to the phone. She was dying.
Police eventually arrived to find Sherrill Turner, 46, already d*ad. Her cause of d*ath was complications from an enlarged heart.
A doctor later testified she would likely have survived if help had been sent on the first call.
The case became the first in US history in which a 911 operator was criminally convicted for mishandling a call.
Sharon Nichols was found guilty of wilful neglect of duty.
The prosecutor noted the absurdity of her defence at trial: "Her defence was that she could not hear the child.”
If that were true, how could she tell it was a prank call?
Robert Turner was six years old when he attended the press conference about his mother's passing. He was wearing a suit.

The Assisted Dying Bill has failed.
And I am so glad.
I’ve suffered with an eating disorder throughout my life.
When I was 15, I was dangerously underweight. On an IV drip in hospital. My organs on the brink of failing.
If I had been given the ‘choice’ to die, I would have taken it.
MPs removed the parts of the Assisted Dying Bill that were meant to safeguard against coercion and protect vulnerable people.
Assisted suicide isn’t only done “when the patient wants it”. Look no further than the countries that have already legalised it.
In Spain, a girl who was gang raped and attempted to kill herself was offered euthanasia. She reportedly wanted to back out, but her organs had “already been reserved”.
In the Netherlands, 40% of euthanasia deaths occur without patient consent.
In Canada, it has been offered to Paralympians who asked for a mobility aid.
If it happened there, it would happen here too. People would be killed against their will.
The disabled.
The mentally ill.
Abuse victims.
All have been killed by the State under the guise of “compassion”.
When you are as mentally ill as I was then, you will do everything in your power to convince those around you that you are well enough to make your own decisions.
When your organs are shutting down and every course of treatment has “failed” to fix you, death becomes an attractive option.
If I had been given the choice to die, I would’ve taken it. No questions asked.
And that’s why the Assisted Dying Bill terrified me.
Because when you’re that mentally unwell, you don’t see hope. You see pain, and you want it to end.
You’ll do anything to convince the people around you that you’re “of sound mind.” You’ll say whatever it takes to be left alone.
But behind those words is an illness doing the talking.
If this bill had existed when I was 15, I might not be here. Not because it was the right choice, but because I was sick and exhausted and desperate. I didn’t need a legal route to die. I needed someone to fight for me when I couldn’t.
It tells people like the girl I was that death is the easiest option — to relieve your family, the NHS, and yourself of the burden of caring for you — instead of showing them that life can be worth the fight.
I survived. I got better.
But I may not have.
Not if the law had made dying seem easier than recovering.
The Assisted Dying Bill didn’t protect people like me. It wrote us off. It was abandonment dressed up as mercy.
And I thank God that it failed.

BREAKING: Arizona Republican Party chair Jeff DeWit caught on secret recording trying to bribe Kari Lake not to run for the Senate.
Holy s***!
"There are very powerful people who want to keep you out," he said.
At one point during the secret recording, Lake was asked to name her "number."
DeWit: "Just say, is there a number at which..."
Lake: "I can be bought? That's what it's about."
DeWit: "You can take a pause for a couple of years. You can go right back to what you're doing."
Lake: "This is not about money, it's about our country."
WOW. 🔥
