Two counter arguements
First, deleted scene shows that the flash is holding back. He is concerned about going to fast, because something to do with the speed force.
Second, this is a younger Barry. So he doesn't know the limits of what he can do.
Visually iconic, but this moment made no sense from a power-scaling perspective.
The whole point of the Speed Force is that Superman can't simply replicate what Barry does through raw speed. Geoff Johns made that clear in The Flash: Rebirth when Clark brought up their previous races, and Barry hit him with the legendary response: “Those were for charity, Clark.”
That's what makes Snyder's scene so frustrating. Barry is a Speed Force user, yet a freshly resurrected Superman can casually track him like he's moving in slow motion.
If Superman can keep up with Flash without any explanation beyond being Superman, what exactly makes Barry special on the Justice League?

I believe her and Suki should have at least look athletic. Both are acrobats by combat style. Korra is clearly a brawler.
Why is Korra visibly muscular and ripped, while Azula has a much slimmer build despite both undergoing intense, grueling training?
Is it a difference in their training methods, fighting styles, or simply how the creators chose to design their characters?

One was the one who granted the ability to bend, the other is what inspired the fighting styles or the HOW to use it.

We have seen that Ki can make muscle bloat. We have also seen that he is condensing his KI and showing much greater control.
So I suspect that his bulk is not just artist choice, but his Ki condensing more and more.
