If THIS is the cost of trading for Jessie Bates, the Bengals should make the move after Sunday’s game and let him fly back with the team 🤷‍♂️🤣

Jonathan Taylor with a team that’s tanking with Daniel Jones at QB with receivers you don’t even know currently are the 5th best EPA rushing team in the NFL while teams KNOW that he’s the only person to stop. The Bengals with the 4th best Dropback EPA per play are 22nd in Rushing EPA per play with the threat of Joe Burrow, Ja’marr & Tee. Just think about that.

Use logic. Talent is talent. Make teams game-plan for MORE talent
You know why some of the best RBs fail in the history of football? Because shitty teams ran them into the ground. Saquon is proof of this. Once put on a good team they flourish b/c teams can’t game-plan for just them. This is common sense to most.

Any Club that trades for Jonathan Taylor would NOT view him as a rental. Taylor's 2027 compensation ($16.02M) becomes fully guaranteed in late February (2/19). That guarantee would be the responsibility of any acquring Club. CIN (or any other club that trades for Taylor) would not trade for Taylor to then just cut him prior to 2/19 to avoid the guarantee vesting. Taylor is under contract through the 2028 season, but his 2028 compensation is not guaranteed, thus rendering that season effectively a Club option. But the 2027 guarantee dismisses any claim that an acquiring Club would view him as a mere rental. To be clear, I am not commenting on the merits (or likelihood) of CIN trading for Taylor. Rather, just pointing out that CIN would not view him as a rental. Further, the only RB on the Bengals' 53 who's currently under contract for 2027 is Tahj Brooks. Brown and Perine, absent new deals, will both be UFAs in March. So if CIN traded for Taylor (or any other top RB who's not on an expiring deal), he'd be the starter next season and Chase Brown would walk.

Dexter Lawrence is taking on two guys at a time and still dominating. He's easily the defensive MVP of the league at this point in the season.

We need Chase Brown to get back his vision and patience hitting the holes in front of him. Maybe have him watch some Le'Veon Bell or even his own highlights.

Burrow is 1-34 when trailing late? That doesn’t tell the story. Fitz dove deep on the facts: “There are 27 times were Joe had the ball with under 4 minutes, but had the ability to tie the game or take the lead. He did it 18 of the 27 times… Pretty good rate if you ask me.”
