Federal Government Gets Twice As Much As 36 States Combined — Aworawo When Buhari was in government, the average monthly revenue was about ₦750 billion, while NNPC remitted nothing because its revenue went into subsidy payments. After subsidy was removed, monthly revenue rose to trillions of naira. The Federal Government receives 52% of the revenue, states get 26%, and the remainder goes to local governments. That is why I say Tinubu does not decide how to share the money; the allocations are predetermined, with the Federal Government receiving twice as much as the 36 states combined.
