Political operators—like Schumer on the left and Hazony on the right—who attack the bigots on the other side of the aisle for cheap political point scoring, while ignoring those on their own team out of political expediency, are leading American Jewry to its doom. They make Jew-hate a political football, instead of a shameful taboo.
This disgusting, antisemitic language from Donald Trump must have no place in our country, especially from the President of the United States. While unsurprising from a President who spews hatred on the daily, it must be universally condemned by those who want to root out antisemitism and bigotry in all its forms.

Cenac only a rook but I'm so sick of this same old Celtics gameplan (lead grows >20 while threes are falling only to disappear when the other team bears down) that I'd rather lose with the kid getting experience as an offensive option down low than watch just 1 more game of slop.
Replying to @zm_cox
None of Walsh, Queta, Scheierman, Hugo, or even Hauser is good enough to be the fifth guy on the floor in crunch time.

Trump isn't an antisemite. He's just a fuqing insane autocrat who uses antisemitic tropes in a desperate attempt to fire up the base while in Kansas. There's very fine people on both sides. GOP is cooked.
The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The term was used (for at least the second intent in as many years) by President Trump. forbes.com/sites/siladity… Important context to point out the user of the term regardless of intent.

bodies are buried (forgive the metaphor) just as Yossi Cohen does, who will support Dichter, for the good of the nation and the future of the klal, though it may not be publicly. Gantz, assuming he is not overly bitter, will also support this process.

Gideon and Noa Chiell were a brother and sister in their 20s who went to dance at the Nova Music Festival with their friends Shalev Gal and Tamar Goldenberg. On the morning of October 7th, as they were trying to flee the horrors of the Hamas massacre all in the same car, the men of Gaza shot them one by one and made sure they did not survive. They leave behind them devastated parents and one brother. Their younger brother Harel eulogized them, saying: "My Noa’le… I miss your voice so much; I keep asking myself where you are so that you’ll come back...You don’t understand how much I miss you and Gidi. I feel empty, lacking; it’s so hard. Since I was a kid, you've accompanied me and taught me everything; there aren't many big brothers like that… I miss our conversations where we would sit at the coffee bar on the balcony or just on the phone, and you would tell me about your dreams and ask me how I was." We will never forget.

Gabriel Ostrovsky, The Algemeiner A series of record-breaking gifts to Israeli universities has directed nearly $1 billion toward scientific research, medical education, technological innovation, and the development of the Jewish state’s next generation of talent. Amid war, international criticism, and mounting pressure on Israeli academic institutions, some of the world’s wealthiest Jewish philanthropists have made a series of eye-popping commitments to Israel’s future. Since Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, massacre, a succession of donations to Israeli universities has channeled over $900 million into higher education, scientific research, and medical training. The latest came Saturday, when American billionaire investor John Paulson announced a $250 million donation to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the largest in the institution’s history. The gift will finance a new Faculty of Engineering, expand medical and biomedical research, advance treatment of trauma and post-traumatic stress, and support a new public-policy think tank. Hebrew University’s historic Mount Scopus campus will be renamed in honor of Paulson and his wife, Alina. “This gift is also meant to show support and international solidarity with Israel,” Paulson said. “If there was ever a time to step up and support the country and its institutions, this would be it.” Paulson’s contribution brings his cumulative support for Hebrew University to $296 million, including earlier investments in computer science and electrical engineering facilities.

In October 1942, during the height of the destruction of Polish Jewry, the Polish underground ordered Jan Karski to carry a report to the government-in-exile in London. Before he left, two Jewish leaders from the Warsaw ghetto met him. Their message was simple: “Our entire people will be destroyed.” Karski decided he needed to see it himself. At enormous personal risk, he was smuggled into the Warsaw ghetto and later into the Izbica transit camp near Lublin, disguised among the guards. He watched starving children, naked corpses left in the streets, and Jews packed into freight cars for the killing centers. The images never left him. He became not only the courier of the Polish underground but the witness who insisted the free world hear what was happening to the Jews. He reached London in November 1942 and briefed the Polish government-in-exile and British officials, including Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden. In July 1943, he met President Roosevelt in Washington and described what he had seen. Roosevelt listened, and then asked questions about other matters. Karski later wrote that he had failed in his wartime mission. In 1981, he told American officers who had liberated the camps: “And thus I myself became a Jew … so have all the Jews who were slaughtered become my family. But I am a Christian Jew … My faith tells me the second original sin has been committed by humanity. This sin will haunt humanity to the end of time. And I want it to be so.” Yad Vashem recognized him as Righteous Among the Nations in 1982, not because he saved individual Jews, but because he risked his life to enter the ghetto and a transit camp and carried their message to leaders of the free world. In 1994, Israel granted him honorary citizenship. He called it the proudest day of his life. Karski had been a Polish diplomat and underground courier. After the war, he became a Georgetown professor. The silence that greeted his reports never stopped troubling him. He spent the rest of his life insisting that the world had known and had not acted in time.

By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez, Jan. 15, 2008 All European Life Died in Auschwitz “I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth - Europe died in Auschwitz. We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world. The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all as the conscience of the world. These are the people we burned. And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove
to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened
our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride. They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities
into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free money from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts. And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical
hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition. We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their
talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs. What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.”
