My first ever commentary is out! On a subject I care loads about and with a co-author I deeply admire. I'm aware that many could have written on this, and many more capably than I, so if you are one of those people, I'd love your feedback!

NEW: we need to talk about UK graduate wages, and the idea that Britain sends too many people to university.
American readers should stick around for the UK/US comparisons 👀
Let’s start with this: the UK graduate wage premium has fallen substantially over the last 25 years
So glad to be at my first @PreventingODx conference. @mgtmccartney @JulianTreadwel1 and @cfd1951 were amazing keynotes this AM
We need to be moving forward not backward. It feels like something we need to get loud about.

this is such a direct, tangible example of reconciliation in practice that other Canadian universities could easily implement— here's hoping some of them do.
#UWaterloo is proud to announce that a full tuition waiver will be offered to all qualifying students from two First Nation communities on whose traditional territory the University is situated.

Fangirl post for @bbclysedoucet - love hearing her familiar Canadian accent on @BBCRadio4 and pleased to learn we share alma maters of @queensu & @UofT. Great to see she will be honored @UniofOxford Encaenia
In this thread, I will review @GAILsBakery items as I eat them. Cheddar and chive drop scone: 10/10
Went to @GAILsBakery with number one thread fan @CFrieders. I’m not really a cake person but I give the Madeleine a 9/10 for being a small shell-shaped cupcake without icing.
@GAILsBakery has a new neighbour @TheSteamhouseCo . Solid 8/10. Would get more bagel cred with: thicker cream cheese, proper toasting, make your own bagel on the menu. Chew and seeds get full marks 💯

📢 Calling NHS GPs to take part in this study! 📢
We want to better understand the role of diagnostic tests for children in primary care to identify the drivers of variation and make sure the right kids get the right tests.

Truly shocking mortality statistics - sadly less shocking if you've ever lived in the US within earshot of gunshots.
Just when I thought we'd found all the ways to convey the US mortality crisis @jburnmurdoch comes w/
this tear jerker:
"No parent should ever have to bury their child, but in the US one set of parents from every kindergarten class most likely will."

According to @StatCan_eng over half of recent immigrants to Canada were admitted through the economic category. @jenbonder & friends, do you know where I might get equivalent data for entry categories of immigrants to the US?
